Verse 2 setting (a couple years into the future from now)
After a couple of years of dating and Augustus thankfully surviving cancer for the second time, they were now married.
Of course, many had thought they were going a bit too fast. He was only 20 and she was 22. They had their whole lives ahead of themselves and surely they could wait a few more years before getting married. However, both had been positive there was no one else for them. After everything they'd gone through together, both knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, so why waste time?
The wedding had been something simple and only close friends and Augustus' relatives had attended. Even Melanie, though she'd been the one most against their relationship in general.
Madge liked to think back to those days from time to time. How Gus had proposed and how both had been completely calm during the entire wedding planning. Neither had seen the need to worry or rush the planning. The second one became stressed (usually Madge) the other would make sure to take care of the problem.
They were a team. Always had been.
Now, as Madge made her way to the kitchen of their apartment her stomach growled at the promised of a well done breakfast.
That was surely something she had gotten used to quickly: Augustus cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturdays.
When she reached the kitchen she saw him standing by the counter, preparing their coffee. When he looked up and saw her, a beautiful smile adorned his lips. Madge returned the smile and went over to him and wrapped her arms around him from behind and planted a gentle kiss to his shoulder.
"It smells great." She smiled, tightening her grip around him slightly. The warmth of their bodies pressed against each other was intoxicating and something Madge had loved from the very beginning.
"I sure hope it tastes as good as it smells," Augustus teased, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. He finished mixing the sugar into the coffee and turned around to wrap his arms around his wife. For a few seconds, he smiled at her lovingly, then leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her pink lips.
Madge gladly returned the kiss, enjoying the shocks of electricity that rushed through her body from the connection.
Though they'd kissed plenty of times before, ever since they'd married the kisses just seemed...different. More intimate and loving. It was a nice change and she loved it.
Once they separated, Madge smiled up at him, her eyes twinkled as if she was hiding something exciting, which she kind of was.
"What?" Augustus asked through a soft laugh.
Madge shrugged slightly. "I love you. So much." She leaned forward and kissed his lips again.
"And I love you," he murmured against her lips, his hands going from her lower back down unto more teasing territory, eliciting a soft giggle from Madge.
After a few more seconds, Madge separated from the kiss. "I have some news," she stated. Gus raised his eyebrows questioningly and waited patiently for her to speak. "So...You know how I'd been feeling kind of sick lately?"
Gus' eyes widened. "And we kissed... What if I get sick now too?" He asked, his voice concerned, though he made it obvious he was only joking.
Madge rolled her eyes playfully. "Anyway, so... I went to the doctor since I thought I had the flu or something. Well...it turns out..." she paused, unable to hide her smile, which caused Augustus to begin to become excited.
"Yes...?" He encouraged, wanting her to get to the point.
"That..." she paused again to build up some tension, then leaned forward and kissed him for a couple of seconds again. "You're going to be a daddy." She finally informed, her smile wide and excited.
Augustus could only smile at first, but when the words finally registered, he let out an excited laugh, then hugged her close to him, sweeping her off the floor for a few seconds. "Are you serious?! We're going to be parents?" His voice was elated as he placed her back down on the floor. He was going to be a father... Sure, he'd always wanted to be one, but he never thought he'd live long enough to actually have kids. But here they were and his beautiful wife was going to make one of his dreams a reality.
Madge let out a giggle and nodded. "We are, Gus. We're going to be parents..." she tried to keep her voice calm, but it was hard to hide her excitement. "I love you so much." She kissed him again and Augustus gladly returned the gesture.
Though Madge was terrified of what this entailed, she knew that Augustus was the best man she could ever start a family with. He loved her and she loved him. They were happy together and nothing had managed to separate them through the years they'd been together.
If there was anyone in the world Madge was sure she wanted to share such a blessing with, she knew it was Augustus.

Madge easily laid down in bed and snuggled closer to Augustus. A few seconds later, he pulled her even closer to him, making the little space between them completely disappear, causing a smile to appear on her lips.
Whenever they were this close, Madge couldn't help but want to be even closer, to feel the warmth of his body mingle with her own. It was a sort of want that, though she'd felt before, she'd never actually been completely okay with it.
Turning her head up slightly, she leaned forward and pressed her lips to his.
Augustus gladly returned the kiss. At first it was slow and sweet, but after a few seconds, Augustus deepened the kiss, nibbling lightly on her lower lip.
Madge let out a soft giggle and pressed her lips harder against his, enjoying the intensity of the kiss. After a few more seconds, Madge positioned herself over him and she hoped he didn't mind. However, Gus seemed more than content with the new position.
He moved his hands to her sides and allowed his fingers to lift her shirt slightly, giving his fingertips a better opportunity to graze her skin.
A wave of pleasure mixed with nerves rushed all through Madge's body, but she welcomed the feeling.
As they continued to kiss, Augustus let out a soft groan against her lips followed by his tongue gliding along the curves of her lips, requesting permission.
Madge parted her lips more and allowed for her tongue to crash against his, making the kiss even more passionate than it'd already had been, eliciting a soft moan from her.
She gripped his shirt and pulled on it gently. Gus returned the gesture by having his hands go down her sides and rest on her hips, gripping them gently before gathering more courage and slipping his hands down her body, exploring more of her.
Madge felt her entire body burn with a pleasant fire and she parted her lips from him, then moved on to kissing his jawline, tracing a trail of kissing down to his neck.
"That's my part," he breathed out, a smirk on his lips.
Madge chuckled softly against his skin. "I told you I'd find your weakness." She whispered as she continued to kiss his neck. Gus said nothing in return, so Madge wasn't sure if she'd found his weakness just yet.
However, being the tease that she was, Madge was determined to find it.
Her fingers moved down to the hem of his shirt and she tugged on the piece of clothing.
Augustus sat up slightly, grinning. Madge returned the grin, then pulled the shirt over his head and off his body, then threw it to the ground.
She dipped her head and continued to kiss his neck, then traveled down to his chest and continued to leave behind soft and teasing kisses. Her tongue ran over his sternum, eliciting a soft groan from Gus, causing Madge to smirk as she continued her kisses down to his stomach. One of her hands maintained itself close to her lips, caressing his warm skin as her lips traveled down.
She felt his fingers tangle in her hair, urging her to continue.
Once Madge reached the rim of his pants, she began to travel upwards, going back to kissing his chest. Her tongue gliding over the skin every now and then until she reached his neck again, though her hand kept traveling down until it made contact with the rim of his pants.
Slowly and teasingly, Madge unbottoned the piece of clothing. She heard Gus breath in in surprise, but she continued.
Once her fingers managed to unbottoned his pants, her hands slid inside his boxers and continued to go down, causing Augustus to take a sharp breath, knowing well what she was up to.
"Told you I'd find it," Madge said, her tone triumphant as she kissed his jawline.
"That's every man's weakness." Augustus replied, though a soft chuckle escaped his lips.
Madge smirked. "I know,"
