Whatever twisted pleasure Malekith gained from this display of submission, Balder would just as soon rather not know. He licked and lapped and hissed softly through his nose, trying to ignore the pain of having his short hair pulled so by a cruel hand. He did not see the smoke, having closed his eyes to save himself the shame of being visually confronted by the humiliation of this atrocity. It was not until his hair was released and Malekith spoke that he even realized they had been interrupted. Eyes darted about, seeking to locate his older brother’s figure in the smoke around them. It was just his luck, that Loki would come to see him in this state. So humbled, so.. weak. Why? Was it to laugh? To mock?

The smoke still linger obnoxiously and Loki stepped through waving his hands around trying to dissipate it, “well, so much for a dramatic entrance, hmmm?” He looked to Malekith and then to Balder, “what a surprise! I had no idea you two were here,” he stepped closer to Balder and mumbled, “what are you wearing?”

    A frown was resolutely set on the Elf's features as he dropped into his throne, one long leg crossing over the other as he propped his cheek against a fisted hand, "Your dramatic entrances are to convoluted and lengthy - It really does take the surprise out of them, Trickster. Now, what is it you want?" His gaze dipped towards Balder as a smile twitched at the edges of his mouth, a brow arching to frame the sardonic expression before his gaze dipped to his hand, picking his nails idly as he took the opportunity to answer for the debased prince. "I think the look suits his station. I did not pick it, however. Blame my men for that."
