Excuses to get partially pretense-enraged over the smallest interaction, the smallest smile, the smallest act of kindness you might’ve shown someone else who might’ve gotten just a little too close for his liking, in passing, without giving it much thought. It’s not that Terry was afraid of ever being replaced by a random nobody. Or by anyone, really. I mean, how could you? He’s in your blood and he knows it. You can’t shake him out of yourself even if you tried, at this point. It’s just that the very gesture of reminding you of that once in a while - he relished in it. It’s that intoxicating rush of power he felt when he sneaked a hand around your throat and just squeezed strongly enough to subdue the passage of breath ever-so briefly, but not tightly enough to actually choke you out followed by the words, low and breathy, making you appear even smaller and more vulnerable, as intended -

Of course, it was all in good faith. To an outsider, this scene would’ve merely appeared like an embrace between lovers, and not you being cornered against a wall, in a chokehold by a man twice your size getting in your face. What’s even the point of strength if you can’t show it off like this? You’d never dare actually displease him, now would you? Don’t you know what he’s like? What he’s capable of doing? But, even if you did - don’t you know he’ll actually, genuinely enjoy just breaking the poor fool you chose to do it with just for the fun and sport of it all? You must be a legitimately bad, horrendous person. If you know all of that and still chose to go through with it. You must have no heart and just want to see some fellow hurt really badly, don’t you? You must like watching him do it. Terry grinned at his own musings, taking a moment to admire his own talent at breeding and cultivating guilt in others.

Oooh, nice. Emily, probably because I definitely wanted (and did my best) to spend my childhood running around outside and not wanting to grow up. I will forever have a lot of Wuthering Heights feels and I can’t believe I’m now older than she was when she died. :/

But Charlotte is so great too and hopefully a little gay (have you seen those letters to Ellen Nussey???). *hopes*

Also Anne is so underrated, people barely talk about her but she was great, and the Tenant is Wildfell Hall is such an important book. Writing about spousal abuse was bold enough but writing a woman daring to leave her husband and seek her own life at that point in history?!!? Yeah. She did that.

Alone: She hasn't really been alone in a long time. Not truly. But mostly by seeking out camaraderie, or, failing that, drinking, or, failing that, dissociation and remembering better times. Betrayal: Yes to both. She was betrayed by her adoptive family in the GAR in Order 66, and she was made to betray her family when Jora possessed her and used her body to be the Sixth Sister, something that still traumatises her--she has phantom limb pains from the prosthetics Jora added. Bound: Does Order 66 count? If so, yes. Her mind and free will were stolen from her, Anara helped free her, and she immediately left to join the burgeoning rebellion as a Mandalorian. The scars are both physical--from the chip's removal--and emotional/mental, from that loss of control and what she was made to do. Break: Right now? Losing Bari or her family. Before? She broke down on Umbara when she felt she was responsible for leading an entire regiment into an ambush, and the impostor syndrome she'd been repressing around her rapid promotions and feeling like she was in over her head boiled to the top. What it looks like is crying, dissociation, and catatonia. It's not pretty. Desire: Knowledge and enjoyment. She wants to make the galaxy a better place, and she thinks that by acquiring knowledge, forbidden or otherwise, she can do that. She's also a hedonistic goober who goes with the flow of what feels fun in the moment. Usually pranks.

Failure: The number of times she was recaptured and reprogrammed. Wolf. Every time she failed to escape, she felt the weight of the people she was made to harm before she remembered to try again. And yes. Many people in Beacon know about who she was, though she doesn't exactly broadcast it deliberately. Her pacifism is borne from knowing full well what she can do to people if she tries. Fear: Loss of control. She's afraid of dying, too, she's fairly normal that way, but scarier than that is losing control again, and losing who she's made herself into. She's heard Vhos and Eiko's stories and she's terrified of that one day happening to her. And yeah she's pretty open about that one, though I don't think anyone's ever asked. It's why Dathomir was so fucking terrifying for her. She was at constant risk of BOTH.

Future: Lmfao amazing choice of character there. She already basically got slapped with the worst-case-scenario. Nowadays I don't think there's much the Empire could do to her that would be worse, but there's a reason she's hidden away on the Liberty Fleet, just in case.

Ghost: You should have switched these characters. Lily's Future answer would have been more interesting than her Ghost one and vice-versa for Tigress. In Lily's case here, she doesn't actually have a lot of regrets, other than getting hit by the Velume at all. She's made her peace with her death at this point, she just wants to make it count.

Guilt: You asked the same question twice, more-or-less, and the answer is basically the same; she really doesn't feel that guilty about who she used to be, just resolute at being someone better now.

Hate: I don't think Neja hates easily. I think she gets angry, but I don't think she's good at hate.

Heartbreak: The poor girl has barely had relationships, and most of the people she knew died almost four-thousand years ago. She's doing her best, now. Juno's been good for her.

Hide: I don't think Cat hides, so much as doesn't broadcast. If someone found out what she used to do for the Hutts or where she came from she wouldn't be ashamed, because she didn't choose to do any of that. She's sorry, but she isn't ashamed.

Hunt: I think the best answer to this would be to take this one as metaphorical and point out that she's constantly warring with the anger and hatred and darkness in her breast, and while she has it under control, there's absolutely a timeline where, especially if she lost Mya, she would just. Snap.

Mask: Jeyni doesn't, no. She used to think she did, because of her whole situation, but she's made peace with who she is and what happened to her, with Tigress and Eliza and Gem's help.

Midnight: Flashes of who she was, sometimes. Not often. She doesn't want to be that woman anymore, because she knows she can never really be her again anyway, and she's happy with who she is now.

Mistake: Lmfao you picked miss No Thoughts Head Empty for regrets, huh? I don't think she sees herself as having made a lot of mistakes. None that she dwells on, anyway. It was kind of dumb of her to leave her homeworld for romance when she gets space-sick but that's not something that like. Keeps her up at night or anything.

Monster: Wolf.

Nightmare: ...everything. Slavery, the War, Order 66, Luxa, the Palace... I don't think that girl's slept soundly in years unless she was drunk or worked to the absolute bone.

Pain: Literally? Getting shot. Metaphorically? Losing herself in Order 66.

Secret: She likes pink frilly things and kinda liked the maid uniform tbh.

Skin: She used to, but, as I said, she's come to terms with who and waht she is these past years.

Torture: Yes, more than once, and yes, more than once.

Wound: This kind of feels like only a marginally different angle to the 'Break' question, but basically, she hasn't really had any specific wounds that stick out apart from getting shot and treated with bacta, but she definitely got fucked up and traumatised during the Clone Wars, especially on Umbara.

I suppose, yes. I mean I am dating someone so I think that counts lol (now if you mean FICTIONAL... do you want the list alphabetically by fandom, genre, or character name?)

✨  Which fictional character (book, show, or movie) do you relate to most?

Oh jeez. I always stumble at this question because I have so many opinions and personality types and I'm honestly a very weird person,, it’s hard to pick someone I relate to. 

I guess (and I'll probably be editing this and adding more characters later lol) right now I feel like I relate the most to Loki? In the sense that... idk. I feel like I'm kinda just there, the “second-in-line-to-the-throne” one, the adopted one (though I'm not actually, I feel like I am sometimes), the one that everyone either takes way too seriously and is very wary of, or the one nobody takes seriously about anything because “oh, she’s a trickster. She doesn’t mean that.” I also feel like no one really understands me as much as they think they do sometimes and I deserve a second chance... I’ve made some big mistakes, and more than once.

Idk if this even makes any sense but my fingers decided to type it all down anyways lol. Sorry for the rant!

Plus I feel like Loki (and me) just needs more love and affection and if he’d gotten that earlier in his life then maybe he wouldn’t have done some of the things he did? Idk don’t @ me it’s just my reasoning... And my reasoning has proved wrong before
