Super random but who do you ship Eris with, if anyone?? I’ve got a list honestly cause there’s so many fun Eris crackships and then @moononastring has her OC Iris and smtb is one of the best fics ever, and then there’s Azris and Eris/Balthazar and Eris/Tarquin, and one thats so out there but by far a fave of mine is Thesan/Eris/Thesan’s lover created by @terrible-and-proud. Sorry for rambling I just don’t know how to keep my mouth shut haha.

Ohh I can’t really say I have a SPECIFIC ship with Eris! (I am still going to read all about @moononastring’s OC fanfic and I cannot wait!!!!) but I do find crackships great! The whole Eris/Nesta thing intrigued me LOADS and when SJM released that snippet of them dancing my mind went “Oh???” - but I don’t ship them, since Nessian is where it’s at for me!

Honestly, I’m so glad you like him! I know that many interpretations has him with long hair (which is also a look!) and I think? It gets confirmed in ACOSF?? Same anon who rambled about Eris crackships here! I too ship Eris with a redemption arc. I think there's such amazing potential for a redemption/healing arc there for him and there's so much going on in the Autumn Court and with Beron's abuse that I hope we get more on (hopefully with more Lucien and band of exiles content) and I think he and Lucien are so similar but also Eris is the oldest and Lucien is the youngest and (and I'm running out of characters so 1/2, pls be patient with me)

Okay part two! Eris is the eldest and Lucien the youngest and they both suffered Beron's abuse but I think it also much have shaped them differently in ways because Eris kind of has to be like Beron, has these expectations to live up to as heir of the autumn court, meanwhile Lucien as youngest was subjected to abuse because of Beron's suspicisons of an affair and he's also an abusive pos. I just think that's something to be explored about both Eris and Lucien (2/2, barely made it)

Ahhh hello again!! Yes! You got it exactly!

I think it's important to in no way make light of the things Eris has done and the way he treated people, but I think there is definitely some history and background behind it, and there's more to it than we, as an audience, have been informed of by the characters (especially the Inner Circle). I would love to get more from behind-the-scenes at the Autumn Court - as far as I can tell, Eris has literally had to survive his brothers and their pursuits to be heir, so to speak, not to mention the horrors of living under Beron, and how it influenced him, his other brothers, and Lucien differently.

As you say, Eris is in line to be High Lord, and has had to keep up a charade that would protect him from his brothers and father (and anyone else, probably). Lucien suffered from that abuse from his father (and his brothers - for being youngest and an easy target, maybe??) Something else that Lucien and Eris seem to have in common is a love for their mother (I always think of that High Lord meeting in ACOWAR when Eris moved so that his body blocked his mother from Rhys adshjdhdsh he loves his mom), and it would be interesting to see if they can reconnect at all.

Both of them deserve some sort of happiness, and I hope we see that in any upcoming books.

And yes! I'd love to see more Lucien/Band of exiles content!!

Honestly,,,I may have already planned out an Eris sketch,,,What can I say I am a little weak for the fiery boys! (Eris is SOMETHING else, I tell you). I know there has been a lot of interpretations of him, and I’m not sure how my headcannon of him will fit into that, but I hope you like him when he’s done!
