How is being human again working for you?

It’s an adjustment. Think of it like learning to walk for the first time. You slowly get to your feet and just as you’re about to take that first step you’re losing your balance and falling straight down. It takes a couple of tries before you can finally walk on your own. You have to depend on people and that’s what I had and still have to do. For someone like me who never had to lean on someone and now rely on them to assist in the simplest tasks it can be stressing. For the longest time of my life I only knew how to be a vampire and I did a damn good job at it. Now, I’m back to learning how to be human again. I have to remember to inhale and exhale, that if I stub my toe at the foot of the bed it’s going to hurt like a bitch and that I have to not be as reckless and take things easy because I am vulnerable now. Like i said, it’s a learning process and if I learned anything it’s that patience is a key factor if you want to make this work and I do.
