[in this house we love ed/gordon and ed/lucius parallels. -both of them were the only ones that responded to Ed’s riddles in the GCPD -both of them were people Ed was intrigued by -both of them played a little game with Ed. -both of them have told Ed he is insane. And that’s were similarities end. To me it’s incredibly interesting how Ed was hurt by Jim not because Jim caught him, but because he never really saw him. To Ed, all Jim saw was a poor shy Ed that he had to be nice to and for some reason turned into a psychopath and killed people. A reason that Jim did not seem to care about.  Then we have Lucius, who Ed opened up to not because he solved his riddle (1/3 is not a good number after all), but because he was the only one that saw behind Ed’s facade and realized why Ed had gone to this murder spree.  Lucius calls him insane too, but unlike Jim, it is not to judge him but to help him, to understand him further.  “A good riddle reveals the asker. To solve it is to solve the mystery of the person posing it.” And Ed most of all wanted to be understood by someone he deems important. And I think from that ‘you are insane’ point Ed’s relationship with Jim fell out (along with the fact that Jim’s actions made him look different to Ed), whilst his relationship with Lucius left room for development. The show did not let it develop much, but even so Lucius is someone Ed finds himself gravitating towards, even though they lead completely different lives. With Lucius, he doesn’t have to be anyone but himself, not who he thinks he should be. Ed might claim he is a loner and a cold logician, but his relationships with others and lack thereof have and perhaps will always define him.]

5. Is there a food you’ve never had but always wanted to try?

Paella, it may not sound like the most exciting thing to want to try but it’s something I know I’d love if I did, I just haven’t found a place but a friend may make it for me sometime so…

6. What does your umbrella look like?

Um…I actually don’t use an umbrella. I really should lmao given how rainy this city is, but I just throw on my raincoat and call it a day. My raincoat is burgundy though! Nothing exciting beyond that. 

19. Favorite Ghibli and/or disney movie

I just realized for the last one, I answered the wrong question for 19. How embarrassing, lol So, here I can answer it correctly. My current favorite is Coco! I just can’t get enough of it. 

30. Favorite Halloween costume you dressed up as? (if you don’t celebrate halloween have you ever cosplayed or would you like to? who did you cosplay as?)

When I dressed up as Sherlock post fall, aka what I liked to call Dead Sherlock. I was at school then, so the theater department had a great selection of makeup to use, so, let’s just say we had a little fun with that. 

33. Cookies or brownies?

This question should be illegal, I like both. Both is good. Have you ever had the marbled cookie brownie from domino’s? heavenly.
