Falling in Love:The Difference Theory
Woman say that men never fall in love. Men say women take heartbreak to hard. Both statements true, and false.
Women, we men do fall in love. We fall in love faster than women. We fall in love almost the minute we first lay eyes on you, but then we get scared so we pull away. Just like any animal our instincts tell us to protect ourselves, and just animal we can be trained. We pull away enough times because of fear, we take the fear out of out lives. Eliminating our fear means eliminating our ablity to fall in love. Without love there is nothing to hold back the darkness that everyone struggles with, and we become monsters.
Men, that doesnt excuse the bullshit we put them through. They dont fall in love as fast as we do. They fight that part of themselves in order to protect themselves. When they finally do let themselves fall in love, they do it wholeheartedly. They are in it to the end at that point. But just like us they can train themselves to no longer fall in love. Once that happenes they too fall in the darkness that hides in us all. And they too become monsters.
So as i said, both of those statments are true, but at the same time they are false. So next time you and your significant other are fighting, think back at this and remind yourself that, either He is scared to get hurt so you have to show him its okay to feel the way he does. Or she is scared to get hurt and you need to be patient and reliable, and the person she wants to be with.
