Hi there! Update from Emily.
So I guess this is a long over due update, but my life has been crazy! Koh is still something I'd like to and enjoy because I adored it, I just can't find much time.. Mostly I've just been writing allot, and putting it on my instagram or my poetry blog, I'll link those later. This past year of school, I took carpentry and let me tell you, I can make anything, I can bowls, they are so so cool, I'll post some picks. But I got approved for Carp 2 where you build a house from the ground up with some other kids, and the guy who funds this is one of the biggest construction company's in Helena! If he likes you and, if you are in good standing with him, he'll hire you when you graduate, and you make BANK. Then when I'm ready I get in my truck with my dog and buy a plot of land way up in the mountains and build my house. :) I also took Bio 2, Bio med, and Forensic science, pushing me further into the career I want, which is a Field Biologist! I had a huge workload, but it was worth it. I know what I'm doing with my life. I did and internship also with a group called Forward Montana, and now I'm the head of the youth campaign for a woman who is running for legislature. I've know this woman for years and all of a sudden I'm in charge of this. She also just asked me to be her secretary over the summer! I also got accepted in MCC which is Montana Conservation Corp, it's a branch of the forest service and you work for them and just do forest stuff, hike, allot. pull out 40 year old rusted barbed wire fences, build trails, etc. It's amazing. SO I've been so so so so so busy, but now summer is here and I can hopefully relax. Oh I also got my appendix taken out, it burst while I was 10 miles up the Big Belts, and that was not fun..but I'm okay so no worries, just really neat scars! I've lost 50 pounds, I'm happy, I have good friends, I can write, oh man can I write. There is a school out here called Jefferson and the teacher uses my poems to teach his creative writing class? Crazy right. So life, for me has just been fabulous. I know without the hardships I had, I wouldn't be here, and I want you all to know that without you, I wouldn't be where I am, or doing what I am.
