those are not nearly all the relevant characters but rather those who are fleshed out the most; all of them are "insiders" aka members of the church of astrum (catul isn't, but he lives there nonetheless). i am yet to write "outsiders" properly because this requires me to finally finish the worldbuilding which i'm avoiding soooo stubbornly...but as soon as summer comes trust me i'll do my best!!! besides "outsiders" there are shit ton of gods i need to develop but this also falls under worldbuilding category so. later. later

When do you think Abe realized he was into Townsend? Do you think he was immediately attracted to him or do you think it took him a little time to realize? And same question for Townsend. When do you think he came around on Abe?

Ooo thanks for the ask! I feel like for Abe, I have to just say “yes” to both of those like… there was probably some level of attraction from the start, but I imagine it took him a while to realize it. If you want a headcanon for a specific point in the show, I think Abe had to at least be subconsciously attracted to him leading up to and during the draughts scene, and at the end of that interaction when he ends up outside the boarding house just standing there for a minute, he looked kind of awkward and shit so maybe that was when he had the realization that he was attracted to this man? ;D

As for Townsend himself? I feel like it took Robert even longer to come around to the idea— even if the period typical (internalized) homophobia wasn’t a factor, I think he’d just be in denial about the fact that he was experiencing emotions other than anger towards Abe Woodhull LMAO.

He probably didn’t come around to Abe until almost the very end (don’t get me started on the finale episode, or try to tell me that that best out of three scene wasn’t romantic as fuck lol), even if the sexual tension in question had probably been there the whole time. 👀

Oh, now that's a question. Lol

When I'm reading, as an AuDHD person, my mind drifts when a writer gets too deep into purple prose. I have a tendency to skip ahead or skim to get to "the point". So, I like to think I'm somewhere in the middle. I like pretty language that paints a picture, but I also enjoy having clear concise action. That helps keep me stay hooked in and that's what I gravitate toward, so it stands to reason that would be how I would naturally write.
