“Hey!” Casper shouts through a few layers of clothes and a layer of closet doors.
“What?”
“Give me an intro!”
Bianca clears her throat. “Now, we are pleased to bring to the stage…Casper Barnhart-Prism!”
Casper struts out of the closet, shading their eyes from imaginary lights and waving to an audience that’s not really there. “Thank you, thank you! No, please, thank you!”
Bianca laughs, her face full of glee as she claps.
“This is a wonderful venue,” Casper continues, putting a voice on. “It really screams ‘high class,’ you know? Though, can I tell ya? I think they might have hosted a furry convention a few years back – there was hardly room for me among the mothballs and costumes!”
“Boo!” Bee huffs. “Stop making fun of my clothes!”
“Okay, okay.” Casper laughs off the act. “But doesn’t this look like a comedian’s outfit?”
“I mean…” Bianca taps a finger to her chin. “It doesn’t look like what my mom wears to work, but I guess it could be.”
Casper spins in a little circle. “I like it,” they declare.
“Then we both found stuff we like!” Bee jumps up and starts dancing around. “Makeover successful!”
“I sure hope so, because it’s bedtime!” Korrah’s voice calls through the door before he opens it. “C’mon, troublemakers, it’s a school night.”
“Daaaaaad,” Bee complains, but Casper blows a kiss to their cousin and skips out the door.
A successful night indeed.
