Lightning struck the sky, flashing a white light into the dark living room of Roger’s home. The electricity had gone out and the two were reduced to candlelight, the thunder rattling the silver streaked windows of rain. Pete had borrowed the car, leaving the singer and bassist alone to their senses with no way of leaving the house. “If Pete gets inna car crash becos’ of th'storm, I’m not goin’ out to collect his mangled dead body. We’d be carryin’ him home t'Karen in a li'le box labelled Pieces of Pete.”

John’s worst habit is probably spending way too much money. As soon as The Who started gaining fame and wealth, he took advantage of it as soon as he could. He religiously shops at Harrod’s and buys not just one pair of shoes, but like twelve. He has no self control over how much he buys.

✍: A language they can speak

John can only speak English but he knows a few words of French and German and Swedish due to his travelling on tour. And he’s not particularly good at pronouncing these few foreign words, honestly. He can hardly speak English without some sort of blunder.

✖: A trait they despise in people.

Arrogance. Its the one thing that gets on John’s nerves. There’s nothing more irritating than a person who bosses everyone around because they think they’re right and can never be wrong. Someone who’s pushy doesn’t go high on his list of admirable people. This might be why he and Roger could clash sometimes!

     It had been years since Keith’s death in 1978. The entire event left John an empty capsule ever since he’d learnt the news. He remembered it clearly; being interrupted in the middle of interview only to be told that Keith was dead and he had to keep quiet about it till the end of the interview - but when asked what the Who would be doing in the next few years… he broke down and cried.

    As he sat with the young ginger, he gave a tired sideways glance towards her, an aged expression of sorrow on his face. “I can’t even begin t’count th’days I’ve cried about Keith’s death. I’m glad you’re here. At least for now.”

   ”Ov course I like Keith. As for feelin’s, it’s like this. He’s like one of those flends y’ve got that you sor’a depend on f’r entertainment an’ support an’ good fun. He’s a hassle t’ deal wif, sometimes, he’s emotional, idn’ he. I dunno how t’describe our friendship really. I could like like  him, an’ I olso couldn’t. You ask him an’ see what he says. He’ll prob’ly give you a moch more satisfyin’ answer.”
