A hand extends to rest against the girls shoulder, Rovanna hopes it’s comforting. “Your heart is in the right place Sid. That’s important, but what you did was dangerous.”

Recovered video had shown everything one needed to know, where all had gone well all things considered. Judging or bringing her more grief isn’t what Rovanna indents, there’s a brief hesitation in phrasing her concern. “But I’m not here to get you in trouble. If you need to talk about what happened with the settlers, I think you should.”

The little kiss was reassuring and Shepard appreciated that. She wasn’t mad to begin with but small signs of affection were something she needed.

I’m mostly synthetic now.” She pulled back her sleeve and using one of the scar-like seams she peeled a patch of her synthetic skin, showing a metal arm hiding underneath. “The brain is all human and whatnot but it’s wired to several other systems. It allows me to keep more platforms than one at the same time. So that other platform stayed in the Milky Way with the rest of my crew. With my husband. But I lost the connection with it and I don’t have memories from since I left to Andromeda. They weren’t transferred. Even though the rest of me surely spent more time with him, I don’t remember a thing from it. So it seems I haven’t even say goodbye to him. And I’m not sure if I’ll ever get to remember it. I’ll definitely never see him again.”
