When exactly it had happened or why, she wasn't entirely sure. Was it his kindness, his gallantry, or maybe is was simply in the way her spoke about her. Yes, that must be it. The tenderness in his voice, the love glistening in his eyes...it touched her heart.

Yet for all he pining, she knew that he would never set eyes on her with that look, he would never use that tone to speak of her. 

Or maybe it wasn't as gradual as she thought. After all, had he not saved her life. If Hal had shown up any later...well, she wouldn't have made it. Maybe it was that moment where he put himself at risk to save her, even though he knew what she was. No one had done that for her...in a very long time. 

Suppose it didn't matter now though, for all the love in his eyes, for all the fondness in his voice, these attributes would reflect no one now, as he lay lifeless 6 feet underground, because he had given his life in order to protect Morgana. 

Now, she stood at his grave, silent tears running down her cheek, loving yet another man that would never love her in return.

I dunno where that came from even, how?
