Aziz felt like an idiot. After laying on his bedroom floor for hours after checking up on Eira in the infirmary, unable to look anyone in the eyes, he went to bed and skipped the next day of school. It wasn’t the best decizion but truth be told he was too upset to care.

Now he was outside the school building near the tourney field. He was going to practice a little and try to relax the way he’s always done it:through sport. Then he realized he’d forgotten his equipment back in his locker and he started on the way there to get it when he heard footsteps behind his back. He turned around, eager to see who was wandering near the tourney field at that time of the day after so much stuff has went on.

”Looks like I’m not the only one”, the boy remarked.

Closed Starter: Face to face

Aziz rolled the carpet and hid it in Jay’s hideout, where his friend told him to put it. Luckily, he didn’t have to face Jafar as well. But while Ayana was away coming to terms with her own parent’s story, he thought it’d be a good idea to finally meet his pen pal. Plus, staying in one place for a few hours looked suspicious to the inhabitants.

He smoothed his leather jacket chosen for the occasion and made an effort to blend it as he found his way to the docks where he hoped he’d find the pirate. It was pretty difficult-he wasn’t used to not having someone to make jokes with, someone cheering for him when he did something cool. But alas, he’d been warned. 

Then he spotted the only teenager around  with a hook for a hand. Normally, he’d have waved at him but different place meant different habits. Less polite ones in this case. 

He cleared his throat. “Hey, you! Yeah, the pirate. I want a little chat with you.”, he shouted across the docks hoping the pirate would realize who he really was once he saw him. He did send him a picture, right?

Dad, Mom, do you have any embarrassing or funny stories about your son that you would like to share?

Aladdin:It’s hard to pick a few. He’s always had a dynamic personality.

Jasmine:I found it adorable when he fell asleep near Rajah as a kid. He didn’t even flinch and it was great seeing how they got along so well from the beginning. I had the royal painter capture the moment and hang it in the gallery.

Aladdin:Yeah, you can say he’s a cat person. Remember how everyone laughed when he tried sparring with the royal guards as a kid?

Jasmine: You might have laughed but I was petrified. Good thing they knew how to take him easy. Though he still ended up hurting himself when he slipped on the floor. This kid is a disaster.

Aladdin:Oh, come on. Genie helped him afterwards with a wooden sword. Remember? Ziz boy, you can do it kiddo!  Remember your training! Left, right, left, right’“ ’

Jasmine:I admit that was sweet. A lot safer for a future Sultan. But I still think part of it was the stories you kept telling him with thieves and pirates.

Aladdin:His father is the prince of thieves. He deserves to know.

Jasmine: Taking him on his first carpet ride, that was truly memorable.

Aladdin:Truly. It was a bit awkward with the guards behind us but he had a happy childhood and that’s what matters.

The prince peered behind the window at the streets of Agrabah. They’ve passed the desert dunes that the sultanate was renowned for and they were meters away from the palace where they were going to reside during the trip.

It’s been a while since Aziz had been home and lots have happened since he’d left. Showing Erika around was bound to make him feel better about the burden on his shoulders.

When the royal limo pulled to a stop not far from the palace, he got out and opened the door to offer the  girl his hand. He found it nice to help her even if she didn’t need it.

“We’re here”, he announced. “It’s only the beginning but here’s a first look”, he explained. A wide smile spread across his face as he presented her his home.

“Are you alright, Erika?” Of course she’s not, you idiot. That’s why she’s asking“Anything you need. I promise I’ll fix it”

A desert fox appears in front of Aziz @askprincessofthieves

Aziz knows the only desert fox around these parts is his half-Djinn aunt. He kneels down next to the animal and grins.

“Hello, auntie”, he starts, “You’re gonna get yourself caught. Turn back or you’ll get both of us in trouble. You should pick somewhere more isolated next time around.” He gets back on his feet and looks around, trying to look natural.
