Good evening, internet. Temmienator asked “How did you and Kanaya come up with your costume ideas?”
We’d been trying to come up with ideas a few weeks ago so we’d have time to work on the costumes. Kanaya wondered aloud about dressing up as the Dolorosa…and then started giggling. I asked her what was funny, and she regained some composure to say “I have a costume idea for you.” I said “okay.” She managed, “You should dress up as the Dolo-Rose-a,” before erupting into a fit of laughter again. Meanwhile, I was sighing with my face in my palm. ”Alright fine,” I said, “on one condition.” We looked at each other. “You should go as Mom-ryam.”
In short, the inspiration was puns and refusing to be out-done by my wife.
