YOUR POST ABOUT THANOS AND THE BLOOD WTF HOLY BALLS IM EMOTIONAL NOWWWWWWWW. BUTTTTTTTT now i’m thinking about how namgyu had all the blood over his face after keys and knives but the next day (after a night of him withdrawing painfully) he had a clean face. we missed out on two scenes of thangyu cleaning themselves in the bathroom. i said what i said

i’m so happy you liked my thanos post :] but now for namgyu, i went back to rewatch all of his s3 scenes and AAAHHH YOU’RE RIGHT!!!!! but actually it goes even beyond keys and knives……

(full “analysis” (if you can even call it that) below the cut again bc once again, i couldn’t stop yapping🥸)

here’s namgyu immediately after the bathroom fight when thanos dies, covered in blood as we can see

but then here he is the morning after the lights out fight, and he’s all cleaned of the blood aside from his own injuries (forehead/lip cut). so sometime between the revolt and breakfast the next morning (and it had to be before breakfast, before they go into the 4th game, bc the first 2 pics above are from before then), he cleaned himself up of all the blood from the people he killed in the fight (and thanos’ blood…….)

after keys and knives he’s all bloody again duh

and then for jump rope he’s pretty much completely clean again!!

im also thinking about this scene, where he’s like “brushing” the blood off his shirt…… trying to get rid of the blood as he finally realizes how much he (literally and metaphorically) has on his hands?

thank you dear anon for pointing this out to me because this is a detail i never really noticed before BUT NOW I AM SO INTRIGUED BY,,,, for as crazy as namgyu gets throughout the show and for how violent we see him get he’s definitely quick to get rid of the blood every time. if we’re trying to give some symbolism to this, i wonder if he feels guilt in sort of the opposite way that i hc’ed in my thanos post- where he wants to wash off the blood as a way to wash off his guilt.

OR going in the same path as my previous post, maybe him washing off the blood represents his lack of guilt; where thanos doesn’t wash off the blood because he feels guilty about mina’s death, namgyu does wash off the blood because he doesn’t feel remorse for everything he did. depends on how you view him as a character but tbh i like both ways, especially when i can find a way to connect it to thanos too B] symbolism my beloved symbolism…….. i will find you in everything……

but oh how i wish we could have gotten some scenes of thangyu cleaning themselves up…… we definitely missed out 💔 i also think that seeing them cleaning themselves up would could have maybe given us more info on how both thanos and namgyu really felt about their actions. i get that we didn’t get those scenes bc the inner workings of thangyu’s minds were not the priority of the show (but it should have been…….) but i think it would have been SO cool to see high thanos act the way he does, but then give us a quick scene of him in the bathroom, looking at the blood on his face in the mirror, and watching his real emotions crack through for just a second……. OH i love it <3 if i could draw i’d so draw this scene, i feel like it can be portrayed more effectively in art than through writing but anyways……. i think that would have been a really cool little detail had it been added in. and also now im thinking about namgyu after keys and knives, in the midst of his withdrawals and having to face everything he’s done and have to deal with it while sober, what that scene of him cleaning himself of all those people’s blood from his hands and his face would have been like…… AND ALSO this would be after myunggi rejects him after hide and seek and so this would be the first time in the games that namgyu realizes he’s truly alone……… hmmmm maybe i could turn that idea into a fic……

and even if it has absolutely nothing to do with symbolism and secret guilt at all i still think it’s fun to look at how namgyu does clean himself of the blood every time esp when you consider a behaviour of his from s2, where at any given moment he would be fixing his hair and making sure it looks good lmao so even if nothing else matters he clearly does care about how he looks and he might have hated being covered in blood because of that.

AAAAAHHHHHSHDBBDNDDNDNSBJSHDBD I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH AND I LOVE PICKING APART TINY DETAILS even if all of this means nothing it is still so fun to try and make something out of it :] thank you so much anon for this ask i loved talking about this idea <3
