That idea where Simon is an omega but Grace’s universe is not omegaverse.

EXCEPT, Simon doesn’t explain shit to him.

Simon not explaining anything cause he's afraid Grace is gonna use him or smth, maybe he even realizes that Grace comes from a world where secondary genders don't exist and takes advantage of that.

Omega Simon and non-omegaverse Grace tickled something in my brain.

Grace is mortified that Simon might be trans and Rocky just fucking outed him, especially when Simon seems to curl in on himself with from Rocky’s accusing claw. He did Not expect for Simon to tell him he was an Omega, a secondary reproductive gender dynamic that exist in his reality.

Grace is so fascinated by the concept scientifically, but horrified of the very human prejudice that Simon explains his world having.

Two things that happen at the same time with this dynamic (no pun intended).

One of them is that being Grace is horrified at the human/dynamic prejudice that Simon went through in his world. Of course he tries to make Simon feel accommodated, despite lacking information about Omega's, Alphas, and even Betas, and Simon clearly has trauma that Grace can't even imagine.

One the other hand, holy scientific shit. Grace would be taking a shit ton of notes about Simon being an Omega, and maybe even during Simon's heat, with Simon's permission of course. I also feel like Simon seeing that Grace doesn't have a secondary gender would also be curious.

Simon letting Grace take notes, out of curiosity to see how non secondary gender person reacts to being around an Omega in heat. Grace helping Simon (with Simon's permission) to get him off and being so interested and turned on by almost everything. Simon never having sex toys, because for one that would take to much resources, and two, usually an Alpha would help but that's too risky because instincts and such.

I also raise you this, Simon never had to change his scent to be appealing before because Alphas were desperate back at Eden/COI prison, and Simon didn't want that risk of getting pregnant so he never lured anyone in. So, when trying, for the first time, to lure in an Alpha (Grace) and trying to get him to fuck him, he over does it.

Simon Post-Heat having to have the conversation with Grace.

Maybe he’s embarrassed or ashamed of how he acted, not lucid enough to make decisions but also not so out-of-his-mind that he doesn’t remember how he acted.

Grace being so so so kind about it, explaining that it’s okay, Simon’s omega was only doing what is instinctual and there’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Maybe the conversation drifts to how Simon dealt with “heats” in the past, despite the fact he never had a full fledged one due to his circumstances.

Maybe the conversation gets tense and upsetting when Simon mentions alphas from Eden or his time in COI custody, maybe he details how he was assaulted and how he was abused.

Maybe Grace balks at the idea that Simon “would’ve been okay if Grace did that to him” cuz Grace is “kind and not like the others”. Implying Simon might not even understand his own bodily autonomy, and how it’s wrong to take advantage of an omega without their full consent.

Maybe this breaks Grace’s alpha brain, which has been so riled up on pheromones and the instinct to rut that he can’t hold back his horror and sadness, he holds Simon tightly, keeping him tucked against his own body to protect him from the things that can no longer hurt him. His alpha is screaming to take care of this omega, not hurt him ever, only protect and care for, not let anyone touch him again.

And Simon is so confused at first, but the wafting scent of alpha protectiveness coming from Grace stirs something in him that makes his omega weep, realizing he really is, truly is, safe with Grace.

I don't know about you, but I'm an absolute fiend when it comes to the "bottom who is used to being quiet during sex is able to finally be as vocal and needy as they wan" trope. So, picture Simon and Grace's first time together (this can be omegaverse if you want it to be). Simon who is used to being quiet during sex doesn't really make many noises, which concerns Grace a bit (is he not enjoying himself?). But then Grace sucks a hickey on to Simon's neck and all the sudden he lets out this broken needy whimper. Simon is embarrassed of course, old habits die hard. But Grace? Oh Grace is gonna break that damn Simon has made wide open. He's gotten a taste of how beautiful and needy Simon is when he vocalizes his pleasure, Grace needs more. Simon's whimpers, moans, whines, and stuttered cries? Grace's favorite sounds he's ever heard

I just know Grace is going to try and find every spot that makes Simon break his silence. He's hands and mouth are roaming every part of Simon to find spots that'll get him to make sound, whether it be a whimper or moan.

The idea of him being praised for taking it so well and that making him a good alpha? when back on Earth it'd be more likely to have him called a bad alpha or a pathetic one even? He didn't even know he wanted that, didn't think to even ask for it, and Simon just gave it to him so, so easily.

Grace doesn't even think of it, since gender stereotypes (even if Grace doesn't much care for them/aren't restricted by them) are still stuck in his brain. So, when Simon fucks him and calls him a good alpha, Grace's mind blanks from that and suddenly he wants more.

Okay raising the stakes for Grace and Simon’s sanity but also Simon finally getting a proper heat that lasts the full duration instead of just a day or two that he normally would experience bc of the scarcity of food, water, and lack of safety meaning that Simon isn’t prepared for how to take care of himself in a full blown heat.

So when Grace goes in to steal a shirt back after Simon passes out (yes I’m going based off your tags guess what I see you too :p) he sees that Simon hadnt touched any of the water bottles snacks or wipes at all.

So Grace having to come back while Simon is awake to make sure that Simon eats something and yes this absolutely leads to Simon trying to gag himself on Grace’s fingers that are hand feeding him bc he refuses to eat any other way

Grace having to tilt Simon’s head back to pour water in and the little shit is sticking his tongue out and swallowing while talking about what he would rather be swallowing instead Grace doesn’t even have to fuck him just let Simon get his mouth on him please he’ll make it feel so good

ALSO circling back around to Grace having stolen one of his shirts back from Simon you just know that when Simon wakes back up and finds Grace right outside of his nest again but this time smelling like Simon he loses his mind

Oh Grace would be so worried when seeing those bottles, snacks, and wipes untouched. I feel like he would assume Simon was too tired, since this is his first full heat since forever, but that would worry him even more.

Simon would notice the missing clothing too, since hello Grace gave him that, why would he not use it?? Then Grace comes in, smell like him, and it drives him NUTS.

It doesn't help that Grace is trying to help Simon eat and drink, even if its a bit. Simon is in the throes of wanting to pounce that man and get knotted.

Simon teasing Grace, to the best of his ability, to try and lure him in once again. Gagging on his fingers when Grace feeds him, sticking his tongue out when Grace has him drink the water. Oghh Simon getting right near the edge of the nest, where Grace is, and trying to tease him by saying he'd rather swallow something else. It turns into pleading once again, with his scent going over board to try and entice this Alpha right in front of him.

Grace is trying so hard to not fall into it, to wait until Simon is fully lucid. He even tries to tell Simon this, but Simon just pleads once again that he'll be so good, they don't have to go that far, just kissing and maybe making out, Simon just needs him. But, Grace knows that even kissing is dangerous and would escalate, so he has to leave.
