Medic nin Haruno Sakura removed her lab coat and hung it up on one of the hooks in her office. Finally, her shift at the hospital was over and she could head home. Glancing at the glimmers of light casting in through the partially closed blinds across the room as she grabbed flipped the lights off and walked out into the hall, she grinned excitedly. The sun was in the midst of setting still, so she wouldn't have to walk home in the dark.
Looks like I'll even be home in time for dinner!
It had been quite a while since she'd actually shared a meal with her family. There were a lot of patients coming in lately, so up until now, her schedule had been piled up with work and her free time had been practically non-existent.
Dropping some papers off at the front desk, she said good bye to the receptionist and then walked out of the building, practically beaming brighter than the sun. From there, she walked through the village streets, humming a bit off-key as she made her way home.
"Ninth, why are you running away from me?"
"BECAUSE YOU'RE GOING TO KILL ME."
