Rocco was walking back to his home from one of his nightly food binges. He carried with him a large bag filled with food for when he gets home. Suddenly he noticed something. A shadow in the corner of his eye. He turned around quickly and saw what looked like a hiding wolf. 

“Uh...”  “Hello...?”

He muttered nervously.

The red panda scratched their head a bit. They looked at the Alex’s. Their expression was one of pure confusion… But they didn’t look afraid or anything like that.

“So…” “Now there are two of you?”

Maxie sighed softly. Why wasn’t Shadow replying? Was he okay?

[TXT] - Shadow, please reply.[TXT] - I’m getting worried.[TXT] - At least just tell me if you’re okay.

Tesh accepted Sammy's paw, showing the scars on his wrist quite clearly as he took advantage of their help to pull himself up with their help. Once he was up, Tesh spoke. "Thank you sir." he said before adding. "I apologize for just dropping in like this, but it wasn't really my choice."

The red panda noticed Tesh’s scars and decided to mention it later… After all, they might be signs of abuse… He smiled softly. 

“It’s alright.” “Does this, uh…”  “Kind of stuff happen a lot around here?”

Tricky was sneaking around when he saw Shadow and... That wolf that saw him light the trash can on fire. He watched them from a shadow for a few minutes for coming out of his hiding place.

“Why, hello.”  “If it isn’t Shadow and...”   “I don’t know your name.

Most of the orange was smudged off his fur and he was covered in scratches and cuts. Whatever he has been doing, it’s been pretty intense.

“Well, anyways...”  “Its weird that Maxie seems to like adopting children with...”   “Names that sounds sorta like warnings...”

Maxie slowly and calmly walks up to Shadow before pulling him into a gentle hug. After a few second of hug they paused to speak.

“Hey...”  “Are you okay?”

They asked with a small smile.

The slaver had always abused and beaten them if they did anything wrong. Even if it was the smallest thing, they got extreme punishment. Because of this, they had a lot of bruises, scared and had once even had their leg broken.

The red panda cub watched silently as Shadow talked to the slaver and purchased them. They were terrified, for Maxie’s entire life their father had told them that preds were savages.

When Shadow pulled on their collar they limped behind him, with every step they let out a small whimper. The cub teared up quietly, too scared to think right at the moment. “Y-Yes sir...” They mumbled.
