“NONSENSE! There are many types of fights and rules! It’s good to clarify a win condition so a man doesn’t get unnecessarily hurt!” Not that that was an issue per say, since Kirishima had a pretty high pain tolerance.  Still, at the end of the day, he was comfortable vocalizing the win conditions. 

Normally, when he offered the first hit, people usually took his offer without much protest. For him, it was a challenge. He liked to see the power behind another’s fists or whatever, and it only encouraged him in a fight. The fact that Ojiro didn’t made him hesitate for a second, and then he laughed. 

“MAN, ALRIGHT! IF YOU SAY SO!” Should they have relocated? Probably.Was Kirishima going to? Nope.  “SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT, MAN!” He launched forward suddenly, throwing his fist forward.

Well, THAT was good. Yeah, he was covered in soda and would have to scrub it off in a bit, but Ojiro seemed a lot happier than he had been. It was worth the mess if the other felt better. His face softened slightly, but he didn’t point anything out. That wouldn’t be good.

“This is how a true MAN opens a soda can!! TRY IT? Or I’ll do it for you, I’M STRONG ENOUGH TO BREAK TWO!” He flexed a bit, grinning wildly.

“..................” Kirishima was silent for a moment, turning their admittance over in his head a few times. A spirit was a little...different, but considering how quirks manifested out of nowhere it wasn’t too far-fetched. If anything, he was really only concerned about Ojiro than what was inhabiting him at the moment. 

“I don’t really know you all that well, so a man has to keep his guard up.  ‘Sides, you’ve got my friend hostage there and I want him back.” His tone was calm, and he had relaxed a little. A very faint smile appeared on his face, but his eyes were still narrowed and wary. He didn’t know shit about spirits, but they seemed...not as hostile as they could have been. Maybe they had a damn good reason for possessing Ojiro. They better have, anyways. 

“So, if you’re a spirit, why’re you in my friend’s body? Don’t you men move on? It’s not very manly to stick around, especially when you’re messing with someone.” He paused for a second. “Wait, who are you anyways?”

OH NO!

It was a fun, previously unknown fact that in times of shock Kirishima unconsciously hardened his body. It was very rare, and he had gotten better at not letting it happen, but this time around it just happened. One second, he was standing there processing Ojiro’s words, and suddenly BOOM. His whole face was jagged from his quirk.

It was one thing to accidentally embarrass another man. To be both the source of discomfort AND the reason for embarrassment...well Kirishima was definitely feeling bad. Oh boy. He really was dense.

It took him a solid minute to come to terms with just howbadhefuckedup, and then to notice Ojiro trying to make his escape. 

“OJIRO WAIT! MAN!”

He whirled around suddenly, his face still jagged and rough from his quirk as he reached for Ojiro. He definitely couldn’t just let him run away like this. This was not how Kirishima was going to let this interaction end.
