Lonely Together

Spencer jogged up to Dick’s front door, his breath coming out in grey clouds in front of him. He’d been jogging everywhere now in an attempt to be better at the physical aspect of his job, and it certainly helped in this still chilly February weather. It was a cold Valentine’s Day, and Spencer had been about to spend it alone, until he decided he really didn’t want to. And that’s why he was at Dick’s front door with a bouquet of thornless roses and a heart-shaped box of chocolates. He rapped on the front door with his knuckles and hoped he wasn’t about to look stupid.
