The Umbra Nightmare - also known as the Endless Nightmare - and the Dream Watcher work together to maintain the world of dreams. They consider each other good friends.

The Umbra Nightmare was first among the two to be created. An accident as it was formed from the shadows that drip from Death itself. When many Pokémon feared their own deaths, that's when the shadows formed the Umbra Nightmare. As it roamed the planet, more and more Pokémon fell into a deep slumber, never waking from their nightmares. It grew and grew with each nightmare inflicted, though not because it wished to. There was no way for it to control its power. The Luna Terror noticed this and asked Life to help it create a being to control the Umbra Nightmare's power.

The Dream Watcher was formed from the essence of Life and the Lunar Terror. When it was formed, it rushed straight to the Umbra Nightmare. It could see the pain on the Umbra Nightmare's face and was able to, using the help of Life and the Lunar Terror, reduce the humongous beast down to a much smaller size. The Nightmare's appearance drastically altered too, weakening it so it would not cause nightmares where it walked. The Dream Watcher and The Umbra Nightmare now roam the land of dreams and nightmares, helping mortals through them. The Dream Watcher is aware of Destino's prophecy dreams, but is not able to affect or influence them.

Oh joy, an ego. The Mew hisses as the rather eccentric Absol wraps one of his arms around it. It clearly did not like that, especially given how distrustful of everyone around it it was at this very moment. Destino's readily apparent ego only made that lack of trust even worse. It's crystals briefly turned a more pastel pink, evidence of it taking on the Fairy type.

"Unless you want to lose that limb, I suggest you get it off me." It responded, shrugging a bit to get Destino's arm off of itself. "But to answer your question, get petrified in crystal for a few days. I'm sure you'll just love it. I know I'd love to see it right about now. I'll warn you now though, it won't make you look any less like an ass."

It stared confused at the Munchlax for a few moments, tilting its head in confusion. This was quite the cast of Pokémon that had come to check up on it. And it couldn't even pin down the species on a vast majority of them. The only one it recognized was an off-color Mew.

"I uh... New question. What's a precursor?... Not to mention what even are any of you...?"

Wanda Morel... That was the first name it's been given today, and it's already unlike any of the names it had heard. The feline was relieved at least, considering this one's reaction was rather tame compared to the last two individuals.

"Well, thank you for the concern, Wanda Morel. Truthfully, I hardly even remember what happened to get me trapped in there. I'm not sure how much I missed, but it can't have been more than a few days..."

It couldn't have been more than that, right...?

The feline looked between the two creatures. At least it recognized one of the species that'd come to check up on it. Though it was off color, it just chocked it up to that rare mutation that makes creatures shine like gems.

"Neo... ka? That's a weirder name than the others I've heard today, not going to lie. Anyway, given that my name probably wouldn't translate well to... whatever language you use, considering you couldn't understand me earlier... So I guess I'll let you guys suggest some names for me to go by."

Destino: Hope this damn communicator works. Ah, there we go! So, heroes of this world, huh? That just seems like too much responsibility. Why bother? What do you actually gain from continuing your efforts? Surely, now that you’ve actually saved the world or whatever, you’d just wanna kick back and have fun?

"Well, we do go out to just have fun sometimes," Gen says, looking at the communicator. "Sometimes I take the rest of the Council to vacations in the human world."

"We gain a world to continue living in, and seeing it continue to thrive," Acacia said, narrowing his eyes. "Saving the world isn't always a one-and-done deal. There's reparations to do, therapy to organize, and there's always more to help with."

"Besides, some of those improvements can help us kick back and have fun more, too!" Leviene said, wagging their tail. "We're starting to bring over 'video games' from the human world! They're super fun!"

"It was a puzzle to figure out how to make them accessible for many different species, but I'd say it's worth it!" Pahelia said. "But it's also worth it to continue helping. Like Acacia said, keeping the world alive is its own reward."
