At first, Tony snorted at the offer - seemed a little silly at his age to be using his boyfriend as a pillow, on the other hand he’d be doing the world a disservice if he didn’t find out how comfy those “pillows” really were. It began with Tony just resting against Steve’s side while they watched one of the many movies on his list, Tony was adamant that Steve needed to see the classics.

But as the night continued, he found himself melting into the warm structure that was Steve Rogers. Why was the man so comfortable? He caught Steve’s gaze as he inched closer to pillow town, despite Tony’s experience in the physical departments Steve had this crazy ability to make even the great Tony Stark (ex playboy) feel a little bashful, not that he would admit that mind you.

Sex was one thing, but being this vulnerable with someone was a completely different battle that Tony had very little knowledge in. Despite his inner struggles the moment Tony’s head landed on those super solider cushions all of his resolve left him. Fuck, he couldn’t help but nuzzle his face in just a little.

"yeahhhh, not the first time I've heard that handsome. Although..." Tony placed his glass to his lips, looking away as a fond memory made him smile to himself before looking towards the other again, fondly. "I can't lie. I do prefer it coming from you, more than anyone else."

" Is it flatterin' or creepy if I get Avenger merch?"

“Depends. Is it MY avenger merch or one of the guys? Because, that is where we get into grey territory.” He responded as he spun round in his chair to face her. “I wouldn’t be against you sporting my lovely attire, I can see you being a big fan of Iron Man.”

Tony was going to say something sarcastic, something crude or just deny having any sort of positive impact on anyone’s lives let alone the god of mischief with the ability to pick anyone. “….that’s.” Tony swallowed the lump in his throat, it was growing along with the anxious voice in his head but he held it back for now. “A nice thing to hear, from you reindeer games.” He smiled genuinely.

“Oh If you must, do you need me to be the damsel in distress? Will that fulfil this fantasy for you?” Tony teased, clearly trying to ignore his own injury and poke fun at Steve instead, a more favourable past time.

“I’m really….glad to hear that, actually. Usually, most people would have left by now, but not you. In a way, it’s a relief you’re almost as crazy as I am to stick around.” He smiled softly, he only had love in his words as brown eyes gazed at her.

"Me, avoid? - never. You know me, straight-forward and to the point as always. Is there a reason I SHOULD be avoiding you?"

[ pillow ] — sender uses receiver’s lap as a pillow

Tony was surprised by the other sudden sign of affection but he wasn’t against it. He watched how her brunette hair fell delicately over his lap, as the light hit her strands they almost appeared auburn. Tony found it amusing how whenever someone used magical abilities their hair would levitate as well, almost like when a balloon with static- FOCUS. Blinking he looked over with a smile, “everything alright, mind spark?”
