Artificial Life in the Market Place

Flashlight beam was only thing to cut through the thick darkness inside the abandoned ship. The silence was almost heavy, as if there were ghosts of some horrible secrets in the air. Schadenfreude had no idea how long it had been dark. He tried to be careful with his steps. He didn’t want to trip in the dark.
The ship could be a gold mine: it was rather large – not warship large, not even close, but large – and with or without bodies probably had lots of spare parts to offer. Schadenfreude pointed his flashlight on the wall of one of the corridors. Claw marks. Fun. So fun, and not at all creepy. Maybe the thing that made them wasn’t on the ship anymore? Or maybe they were just memories of a battle that had happened there. No bodies found yet though.
