Adalwen was careful in the arrangement, the pile on his desk slowly becoming more and more. Peonies, orange and pink roses, violets, yellow tulips, a single sunflower with sycamore leaves, and yet more roses sat before him. A simple bouquet of orange and pink roses along with a few peonies were wrapped in delicate pink paper. He paused, staring at the red roses before taking one and hiding it between the others. He wanted to show that he wasn't always a mess, and off to Jules room he went.

Jules was in fact in his room, folded up onto his bed and bent over a book while his hands idly wound a small length of wire around each other at the knuckles. His door was open, and it had been at least two weeks since he’d stopped rigging his room with traps (except, of course, across his windowsill). He was taking that well, as far as he was concerned.
