when kokichi saw you, he wondered how someone could be so kind and put such trust in others .

you would always offer to be there for someone who could possibly betray you .

but , truth is , you didn't care if others who you were so kind to betrayed you . you wanted to be remembered as a sweet person who forgave even those who trespass against you .

he would try to get under your tough skin once in a while , if not all the time , and you would immediately retort with wittiness .

but , you wouldn't pursue sarcasm with him .

first , you actually caught him off guard . how could someone so kind and gullible know such defense ? then snap back to being kind and gullible ?

then it hit him . you were smarter than you appeared . you trick everyone into your kindness so you can catch everyone off guard with your self respect .

well , no , it wasn't actually that way . but to him it appeared . because , he overthinks everything , but he doesn't know that .

so when he gets snappy with you , you retort but he immediately accuses you of being a faker of sympathy, and you’re not the only one who can play the sympathy card . Or something like that ,,

you look so confused back at him , like . boy ? no ? soon , he noticed himself being annoyingly interested with you , he wanted to know more , and why you wouldn’t get off his mind . he couldn’t help but notice every little thing you did , in an attempt to know a lot about you , for blackmailing , for accusation, for . . . Well, wanting to know more because he was infatuated . . But , that last one was a lie .

staring at you , asking questions about you ( in an annoying manner of course ) , mocking you , pranking you , and hanging around you were all things he adapted to doing in his daily life . He wanted to know more about your complexity in like , the worst way possible .

you soon noticed how off he was acting , and how weird and slightly apologetic he would get when you would scold him for mocking other classmates , how he talked your ear off, how your name was always on his tongue at some point , etc , etc . . . You were pretty intelligent , once you knew the boy well enough you noticed his odd behavior .

you would ask him at some point ,

hey , are you okay ? you aren’t like . . . yourself . do you wanna talk ?

After awhile , he would be closer to you , open up more to you , and he wouldn‘t mess around anymore . instead of that , he got worse . what a beautiful improvement .

although , his wall is still slightly up . he can’t fully trust you to the best of his ability . but , naturally, skepticism is built into his character .

he still believes you are kind hearted though , wondering how ever someone like you accepted someone like him .

you don’t wonder that, though . you think he’s perfectly imperfect . you love kokichi .

he loves you too . Who would ever know keeping a close eye on you would make him fall for you ?

I just saw incest written about Riize and I'm about to throw hands. Not brother x sister. But dad and daughter. Not even step. I feel like we have forgotten how to act. I know some people can justify everything from non con to yandere which is fine. With the example that these fics help them cope. Or that it's just fiction and you can find these tropes in real literature too. I'm not gonna act morally superior. I accept it. But I feel like as an idol I would NOT want this shit written about me. Especially the violent noncon and incest acts. Like that's where I draw the line I'm sorryyyyy

i saw that fic when i was going through the tag and honestly, i wasn't surprised at all. (rant below)

i find it hard to be shocked about incest fics when riizeblr has become a place where people can genuinely post whatever they want and receive little to no backlash if they say it's in the name of "cope".

that's why i believe that writing noncon fics and claiming it's to process trauma becomes such a slippery slope. someone can post an extremely dark fic and say it's because they're coping. after posting, they answer the asks of people saying the writing is good with "thank you" and replies to anons that send them fantasies of riize raping them with "that's so hot". instead of posting their trauma and finding other ways to cope, they indulge people who are getting off on said trauma and write out OTHER PEOPLES fantasies that are also dark in nature. then, the positive feedback and the sheer amount of fics means more dark accounts are made and more dark fics are written, only getting darker and darker. before you know it a culture has been cultivated, so now when you go into the riize smut tag and the most recent fics are about riize as bullies that rape you, your toxic boyfriend that beats the shit out of you, or your biological father that grooms you.

that's why we need to really start having honest conversations about how valid it is to write extremely dark stories about real people and claim that it's to cope. do we believe that posting something so gruesome and dark involving real people to a public forum is okay as long as it's in the name of dealing with trauma? why are real people the perpetrators in their stories? why are they looking for people to praise their stories and find joy in their writing? why are they tagging their fics like they're hoping to reach a larger audience? how come we never see a fic about the trauma that comes with being assaulted, it's always the rape/abuse that they write about? when can we stop letting things pass as cope and start calling it what it actually is?

unfortunately, the community has been overrun with people who don't even like riize beyond using them as stand-ins for their rape fantasies. like i implore you guys to read some of these dark fics (if it is not too triggering, of course) but they're mostly quarter-baked drabbles that don't break 2k words and is obviously just a means to get off or find like-minded people. they characterize riize in cartoonish villainous ways, going off nothing more than their looks. that's why the "large" members (sungchan, anton, eunseok) are always the ones they're writing about. it's nothing more than a kink to them, and it's obvious in the way it's written.

i feel like this goes without saying, but i know i can't police anyone who writes riize fics. this could be a very very very controversial opinion but i think it's okay to let these accounts know how you feel about their writing. being honest with ourselves also includes being honest with other people and accounts as well. and i think if we saw these accounts response to people telling them they're uncomfortable with their writing, we'd see the mask fall very quickly. kindness, understanding, and respect is something they expect without extending the same towards anyone else.
