Trying to learn ASL, partially because I think it’s interesting and partially because there is a deaf man who occasionally shops at the place I work. The most difficult part I find with trying to sign in real world conversations is that I automatically look into people’s eyes while trying to listen to them talk. To make it look like I’m paying attention (I’m not, I’m too busy trying to be normal). The problem with that is I’m then not looking at the signs and therefore completely miss what is being said.
