marc and reese have a beautiful dynamic: severely depressed middle aged man and his best friend who’s a 19-year-old vampire that’s been calling his shit since they met. (she’s actually friends—or at least friendly—with his other alters, too!)

i’m currently metroing to safety marshal a dyke march so i can’t write everything out but here’s a couple of my favorite mksys & reese moments

reese is the person marc is most terrified of losing by disclosing his DID (“she needs me … no. i need her”), and the scene where he finally tells her is very sweet i think!!

also her referencing it when he comes back from the dead (and that hug… pramanik knows what’s up)

her return from the “dead” is perhaps a bit less emotional

not pictured because metro wifi sucks is jake (alter in the moon knight system) getting reese and her friends into a nightclub for free/driving them out.

also reese knowing them well enough to realize when they need another alter’s expertise (telling marc to let jake out when trying to predict a route because jake’s a new york cabbie), it’s so good.

A fun consistency I noticed is that when a Moon Knight you get “Moon Eyes” in Rivals

I like to imagine they probably change with the moon cycles too. So you have different eye types every night. Like crescents or blacked out irises

Just something I noticed and thought it was a cool detail in rivals that show consistency!

Bucky and Clint on a double date with Blade and Marc (in the reflection of the cafe they are in you can see Steven and Jake because blade LOVES ALL HIS BOYS)

Got rid of the other two gays bc I was lazy (they'll have a date too), and switched Marc with Steven bc I loved the idea of the date and the reflections of the system making sure Steven is okay and doesn't get overwhelmed 🥹 he deserves to be treated right, my pookie

Also better look at Steven guard dogs (Jake bites)

They did NOT have to go so hard with the panel design in the latest Moon Knight but God I'm glad they did. Look at all of this.

The lines, the use of negative space, the skyscraper windows dividing the panels only for the characters to pop out in the last frame, the rearview mirror being used to frame MK's approach. The TRUNCHEONS, the fire escape, seeing Marc's heartbeat on the page as DD notices it.

If you're not reading Marc Spector: Moon Knight (or any of the other Mackay MK runs) you absolutely should. The artists are having SO much fun.
