[ DXB: 🇦🇪 Last Day, 2020 ⏪ 1st Day, 2019 ] Arrived! 🇵🇭 Impressed at the efficient process from airport, testings, transit, hotel stay etc... 👏 We filled out an e-CIF online, beforehand, declaring our health condition & history, then showed its QR code at the stop. About 2 / more papers to be signed manually. 👃👅 On to the SWAB TEST... 🛂 Immigration. 🏩 Then we sat, awaiting hotel quarantine instructions. Each person was given a rice meal & bottled water. 🚎 Dot & I were checked-in at the Conrad, in separate rooms. For a minute, I felt annoyed. I could easily pull the pregnant card, but I saw everyone else under the same predicament, at least in our batch. (Diff. reaction if I was in a more delicate situation🤰 &/ had a toddler with...) 🌍 But the world has bigger problems, so I moved on knowing he's a call away. #AsLongAsWereSafe Plus! 🤔 A queen sized bed all for me & I can manage the air-conditioning 🌡️ as I wished... 🏅✌️ (My husband will give the stare if he reads this.)))) The government approved hotel chosen for us, provided water, sanitation kits... food 3x a day (surprisingly good 🍱, & always with 2 generous cups of rice, meaning, #WelcomeToThePhilippines). 🍚🍚 Fast forward, 3 days: 🔬✅ Our results = #Covid Negative! (One could opt to be dropped home by an OWWA driver but Dot & I asked family to pick us up.) We're in separate houses for the meantime, until we find a place to rent for good. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 🚪🔐 I'm staying with my family... EXTENDING QUARANTINE, 12+ more days, hibernating in a room... The tough part is hearing them talk / laugh together downstairs & I can't join in... 🙄😒 BUT I [could be] asymptomatic now, & simply want to consider their health, esp. the 2 seniors, my Dad & Mum. None of us can afford to get sick. #BetterSafeThanSorry 📄📌 PLS. NOTE that the above mentioned is procedure for OFWs. My husband is a repatriated #OFW, who paid #OWWA consistently, & I'm his dependent.
