Heyyyy. I've been wanting to get your opinion on this. You seem like you know a lot about Star Trek races, what do you think about fictionalized ones? Like ones that you create? I have a Trek OC, and I've been wanting to make her tolerable to cold. Her race would be called Alarians. They have a very small population, and they draw red blood. The women usually have long, brown or blonde hair, silver eyes and pale skin. The men have short black hair and also silver eyes. What do you think?

Star Trek certainly allows for diversity. If you're creating your own race, just make sure that your species isn't crazily overpowered, and that their physiology makes some kind of sense. For instance, maybe look up some real-life adaptations that allow people or animals to tolerate cold, and apply those things to your race. Injecting some real-life science into your species creation always helps!
