Living on Purpose! Last night I had the privilege of witnessing a powerful immersive theater piece in Baltimore about the HIV/AIDS epidemic that is literally killing the Black gay community. According to statistics, if the rate of infections continues, one in two Black gay and bi men will contract the virus by 2O20. As Much As I Can is a powerful piece of art that tells the stories of men from Baltimore and Jacksonville, Mississippi -- the two cities with the highest numbers. I had the pleasure of speaking with the cast (some shown here) about being HIV positive and the @nativesonnow movement. We have to do something, and I hope this play will help create more dialogue around this urgent issue in the Black community.
