Girl, I'm *obsessed* with Aspan. It's a ***vibe*** it totally gives young summer love with all the feels. It's a short and simple film but made me feel all the emotions without having to say or show too much. It's so raw and intimate and I'm a complete sucker for good chemistry and good intimacy scenes and this little gem just delivers. How is the hair shaving scene so hot 🫠 the awkwardness between them the next morning 🫠 maaan. Have I already mentioned Im obsessed? 😂😂 And obv Hugo and Simon look *good* 🫠 it's very unexpectedly became a highlight of my day. It's only 13 mins long, go watch it peeps, it's worth it!!!!!

Simon and Hugo started in this short film about queer love called "Aspan" by Cornelia Wahlberg a while ago. She also director one of Simon's MVs. I could only find the teaser on vimeo and synopsis on various sites but not the whole film. If someone finds it pls share. Here's the teaser:

Also this strengthens my speculation that Hugo might be queer too.

Okay!!! 👀👀👀 What a find! I've never heard of this short film before! Sadly I also can't find it anywhere :( if anyone finds it, please let us know, it looks so good actually! And for some reason I couldn't download the teaser with sound, but I've pasted the link below. I also found some stills!

And as for Hugo's sexuality, just because he played queer it doesn't mean he is queer himself 🤷‍♀️

John McLaughlin appears to be a good collaborator as we have seen from our many examples in our discussions on his intriguing musical career. Should his great with Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucia surprise us then? Of course not, though the fact these players gathered together might. I agree, Al Di Meola resembles John McLaughlin, i.e. he travels through the idiom of jazz fusion, but Paco De Lucia feels like an outlier here thanks to thim being the master of the flamenco guitar. However, this combination somehow functions well. They appear to be having a strange sort of a guitar battle on their discs, but don't ask me about the winner here. You see, I would agree with a review of one of their LPs on Allmusic here – this is a tie.
