Kalecgos, one of the most cutest blue dragons of all Azeroth!
My artwork for @legionzine titled “First Lessons”
I changed up from my original when I realized Kalecgos was an available choice. While I look at this now and see everything I could fix, I’m still very happy with how this turned out even with the mad dash to reach the deadline on time, lol
Had a really strong urge to paint Malygos over these last few days!

Indeed, we have suffered greatly... But I would contend that we're at least partly to blame for the scars we bear. Let us turn from our old ways. Let us not seek to extinguish magic from the world... But to use responsibly for the benefit of Azeroth and all its inhabitants. It is true that our choice here today will affect the destiny of our flight, and likely, the destiny of the world. May the Titans guide us. May we be inspired to choose with wisdom.
Kalecgos, Ambassador of the Blue Dragonflight
Kalecgos Aspect of Magic Redesign by Zephyri
That is how he needs to look.
Dunno if I asked this or not. But was wondering what you thought of Tyrigosa?
Tyrigosa is a really interesting lore figure in the blue dragonflight as far as I can tell - her lore is largely scoped out in the manga, which I never read, but she's here and there in WoW in Dragon Soul and Burning Crusade.
Once again, like so many other female NPCs, she's kinda relegated to the margins of the stories but I find her interest and caring for the netherdrakes to be really compassionate. She could have gone really bitter and angry due to the fact that the reality of the netherdrakes is what caused a lot of Malygos' own self-destruction but in fact doesn't - since that's largely twisted up by us as adventurer's rather than the true fault of the netherdrakes.
She's mentioned a bit in Tides of War as Kalecgos' old consort but there's a lot of questions that got raised, despite it being from Kalec's perspective - why did their relationship crumble over his love of the "lesser races" ? It seems like a weird, giant sticking point. Maybe his guarding of Anveena showed her where his true interests lay? Foreshadowing of Jaina relationship perhaps?
Also she's alluded to be a fairly high-ranked blue dragon so why didn't she throw in her bid for becoming the next aspect? Was she too caught up in her work rehabbing the netherdrakes? Did she not want the mantle of power? Did she feel it was all squabbling to fill the vacuum left by Malygos? It seems relatively strange but considering that's also a question hanging around Tarecgosa, not entirely surprising. I can't help but feel like this is yet another omission by Blizzard when it comes to putting their female lore figures in power.
Still, I've always really liked the blue dragonflight ladydragons moreso than most others but like all the rest, they feel relatively unexplored. She's a lot more removed from humanity, true, like so many other blues, but I feel like she's a compelling character in her own right.
