The Kamakhya temple, also known as the Temple of Kamrup-Kamakhya, is a temple of the Hindu mother goddess Kamakhya. Among the 51 Shakti Pithas, Kamakhya temple is the oldest one. Kamakhya temple is situated on a Nilachal hill in the west of Guwahati town in Assam, India. Among the ten individual temples Kali, Sodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Tara, Dhumavati, Chhinnamasta, Bagalamukhi, Bhairavi, Kamalatmika and Matangi.
