असम, तिनसुकिया : असम के पुलिस महानिदेशक (डीजीपी) हरमीत सिंह ने तिनसुकिया जिले के जगुन स्थित 10वीं माइल पुलिस कमांडो कैंप का दौरा किया। यह दौरा प्रतिबंधित उग्रवादी संगठन उल्फा (इंडिपेंडेंट) द्वारा कैंप पर किए गए हमले के ठीक एक दिन बाद हुआ है। संगठन ने इस हमले की जिम्मेदारी स्वीकार कर ली है। सिंह ने हमले वाली जगह का बारीकी से निरीक्षण किया और सुरक्षा इंतजामों की समीक्षा की। 22 मार्च की तड़के हुए इस हमले के बाद ऊपरी असम में उग्रवादी गतिविधियों को लेकर चिंताएं बढ़ गई हैं। वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के अनुसार सिंह ने पुलिस की परिचालन तैयारियों का आकलन किया है और आने वाले दिनों में सुरक्षा को और पुख्ता करने के लिए नई रणनीति तैयार की जा सकती है। उग्रवादी संगठन ने इस हमले को ‘ऑपरेशन बुजोनी’ (Operation Bujoni) का नाम दिया है। संगठन के बयान के अनुसार यह हमला 22 मार्च की रात करीब 2 बजे उनके सशस्त्र कैडरों द्वारा किया गया था, जिसे उन्होंने असम पुलिस के खिलाफ एक ‘सैन्य कार्रवाई’ बताया है।संगठन ने एक विस्तृत बयान जारी कर दावा किया कि 2021 के विधानसभा चुनावों के बाद उन्होंने राज्य पुलिस के खिलाफ हमले न करने का अनौपचारिक समझौता किया था। हालांकि, उनका आरोप है कि सुरक्षा बलों ने इस समझौते का उल्लंघन करते हुए उनके सदस्यों के खिलाफ लगातार अभियान चलाए। कैंप का दौरा करने के बाद सिंह तिनसुकिया जिला मुख्यालय के लिए रवाना हुए। वहां वे वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों के साथ एक उच्च स्तरीय बैठक करेंगे, जिसमें मौजूदा सुरक्षा स्थिति की समीक्षा की जाएगी और उग्रवादी चुनौतियों से निपटने के लिए एक समन्वित प्रतिक्रिया तैयार की जाएगी।
