#doreenvirtue ・・・ Speak your truth, always with love. There's always a kind way to communicate what you're feeling. Kind words help the other person to stay open to hearing what you're saying. Everyone shuts down when they feel scolded or shamed. But almost everyone is open to positive suggestions, given in the spirit of helpfulness. If you see a loved one behaving destructively, the most loving thing that you can do is to speak up. Sometimes this can seem frightening to do, however, as you may worry about offending the person. In these instances, pray for strength and answers. You may be guided to work with a professional person, such as an intervention specialist if your loved one is addicted to substances. Or a relationship counselor to act as a mediator and communication coach. Heart to heart conversations can deepen a relationship, helping you both to understand each other. And speaking your truth as an activist can bring healing and awareness to the world. Here's a helpful prayer: Dear God, please guide my words so that I accurately convey my truth from my heart, in a loving way that considers others' feelings and keeps the door open to communication. Any situation you're worried or upset about can be improved with the power of your God-given strength. Your power is founded upon the platform of love, including loving and honoring yourself. If distractions or demands upon your schedule have been pulling you away from self-care and priorities, then it's time to focus your strength upon taking charge of your valuable resources. Lower energies try to prevent us from working upon our divine life purpose, by keeping us busy or distracted. Ask God to give you the strength to say No to them, and Yes to God's will for you - which is not necessarily other people's will. If they get upset at your saying No, God can help them to understand and find their own strength. Here's a helpful prayer: Dear God, Please help me to have the wisdom to discern which situations to say Yes to, and give me the strength to say No to anything that is off my divine path.
