Last Assignment: FINAL PROJECT
We are required to make a short film based on our prototype from Assignment 3. Tell deeper about what is our prototype about. In the video, emphasis the prototype with suitable storyline. Come out with 10 stories/ideas with various genres. Video should be at least 5 minutes.

Assignment 3: FUSE (SCAMPER)
e-Journal & Idea Journal:
We are required to come out with a new invention based on our knowledge. Imagination, creativity and understanding is important in order to complete this assignment. We are told to use the SCAMPER method for this assignment.
Reflection:
As a person with not really creative brain, I was very worried about this assignment. I had no idea with what am I supposed to start with. After thinking for days, I finally get the idea of making my prototype out of recycleable things. So, I had a lot of mineral bottles in my room and I made use of it. As for the idea for originality, on design perspective, I found the structure of it from Google while on explanation perspective, I came out with that myself. How do I get the idea? We'll, it is because I am that kind of person who like to waste money. So, with this flying airplane “piggy” bank, I can now save a lot of money because it will only stop flying and following you when you put money in it daily. Assignment 2: MASK
TASK:
Produce at least 5 ideas of mask. Describe your journey of life on the mask.
e-Journal:
Idea 1: Mysterious
This mask, I named it “MYSTERIOUS”. Why? Because for me, cats are mysterious sometimes. Just like a part of me. I cannot figure out what I actually want and it’s difficult for me to understand myself too, The letter “S” on the mask represents my initial.
Idea 2: Happy Face
This is a “HAPPY FACE”. Everyone wants to be happy. Well, me too, Happiness is all I want in life but most of the time, I tend to think too much and feels sad. This is why I’m planning to put on a fake smile by using a mask.
Idea 3: Introvert
Why “INTROVERT”? Because I am an introvert. I don’t talk much. This mask describe my character that I could not express with words. The mouth of this mask is being ripped because it was forced to breakout and talk more. When I was young, I tend to keep quite in every family or friends gathering and isolate myself. Also, I breakdown when things get worse as I overthink.
Idea 4: Three Faces
According to the Japanese, each person have 3 different character. Character with family/close friends, the world and character of you when you’re alone/ Therefore, that’s why this mask is called “THREE FACES”. Each part of the mask represents who I am with different people.
Idea 5: Free
This is a mask with a bird’s beak from side view. I want to have wings and be as “FREE” as a bird one day. I want to travel from place to place without having to worry about anything.
Idea 6: Human
I named this mask “HUMAN” because the shape of the mask is a skeleton. This is to show that everyone is the same underneath the skin. People should not judge someone quickly because humans are all the same.

Reflective:
From this assignment, I have learnt more and deeper about myself. I get to understand my own self and tried to improve what I have to. Also, I could have done better on this assignment if I used the time given correctly. Although the mask looked like last minute work, but I actually put in a lot of efforts on painting it with limited materials to use.

Assignment 1: FLYING EGG

Question: How do you fly an egg?
Can we use Coca-Cola and Mentos to launch an egg?
Can we fly an egg using t-shirts?
Is it possible for an egg to fly with more than one balloon?
Can an umbrella fly an egg?
Will parachutes deliver an egg safely to the ground?
Description:
We, as a group chose to use an umbrella for this project. We attached an egg with layers of protection to the umbrella in order to make sure the egg do not break. The result was a success.
Materials used are:

From this group assignment, I’ve learnt that teamwork is really important in order for you to achieve something. We also brainstormed ourselves to get more ideas on how to fly the egg. Researched are done together with the other group members. Our prototype was a success. The egg did not break when we let it go from the second floor. On the experiment day, we saw and learnt different things from other groups. We enjoyed watching the process of flying/launching the eggs. However, all of us would have done better if we were given longer time to complete it.
