Buckley & Cohen Hallelujah
Try and keep in mind today what we learned in listening to the two versions of "Hallelujah", how we can see the relationship between the notes & patterns being played and the lyrics being sung, as analogous to the rhetorical devices being used in a speech and the content of the speech. When marking up your print outs of "Four Freedoms", look at how patterns begin to emerge, what rhetorical devices have the greatest effect in conjunction with the message FDR is trying to get across. If ever you find yourself getting lost in the task, just think of the songs, or better yet, listen to the songs.
