open starter! 🌻
The smell of freshly baked bread wafted through the air, the tiny kitchen filling up with its homey scent. Though the cottage wasn’t big (at the moment, she had asked the spirits today to make something quaint and cozy for her guest) it was inviting, she hoped anyways. She was never good at piecing together what made a comfy atmosphere for others but to her it just meant a kind host and somewhat good food. Baking her own bread was new and very good but even a cup of microwaved ramen with some veggies thrown in was good for her back in her own world.
She pulled the loaf out from the oven and placed it to cool in the windowsill, turning to greet her guest at the table. She figured that their neck of the woods was rather strange and unusual for those not accustomed and she figured a friendly meeting between hopeful friends, or at least kind neighbors, would be sufficient and give them the warm welcome they deserved.
“Ss-so! A-are you enjoying yourself? Should I turn up the AC, o-or do you need some more tea?”
