GAZA UPDATE: Our tent is flooded. We have nowhere to stay dry. 🌧️🙏

I wish I didn’t have to post this again… but the rain returned, and it destroyed what was left of our shelter.

The reality right now:

Our tent is flooding.

The ground is soaked and our bedding is wet.

The shelter is no longer safe or livable for my children.

I’m Mohammed Matar, a father in Gaza caring for my children, my family, and my late brother’s two orphaned children. This is not just a story—it is happening to us right now.

Our GoFundMe has reached $10,223, and I’m deeply grateful. That support helped us survive. But the storm has taken our roof again, and we urgently need help before the next nightfall.

Update

Having to pack up now. I'll just go back to the spot I was before between the gas station and the hotel. There is a small building there I can use so I won't be exposed outside 💦

It's getting dark now, I caught a cold. I am ok now it's just cold outside.

There was a little rain so that's good, it's just stuffy in the area I am in. Just please keep boosting so I can get some more nights in a hotel so I don't have to sleep out here! Every support would help alot. I'll keep updating!

Hi everyone. This has, from 2025 into this year, been traumatic and difficult in so so many ways. My doctors want me to try a panic disorder breathing treatment as well as a special shot in my hip, and neither are covered by insurance. my total cost for both will be around $1700. If ANYONE can help me, PLEASE spread the word and share anything at all that you can. My mobility is so limited right now and my panic attacks are worse than they’ve been since I was in the psych hospital in 2017.

Please PLEASE help!!! Update 09/17/25 (231/800$)

Hey everyone! It's me again and unfortunately, I'm going to need your help again. My job is as iffy as ever (the search for a more stable one is ongoing still sigh) and I need to pay some bills urgently but my funds aren't... There. By bills I mean like electricity, water, internet, medicine, etc. that I need to keep the place going for the month.

Some more explanation on why I need this, so remember the emergencies I had to pay for the past few months because of my grandmother stuff? I actually had to pay for some of them using my credit card since stuff here (like hospital stuff, supply stuff, the funeral stuff, etc.) in the Philippines is very expensive. I have to pay at least the minimum due for the bills so that I don't get any penalty.

Normally, a part of my salary would go towards it but as I said, the job issues right now are very unstable. If any of you could refer me to an online assistant job I could honestly need the help. I've also been looking for jobs here in the local area but well... I've basically sent like more than 50 applications the past few months just from within the Philippines.

I'm needing at least 800 dollars to pay for all of these since the remaining funds in my bank account is going to be reserved for food. I humbly ask for whatever help you can give me and if you could also reblog this I would appreciate it. Thank you!

Update: progress hasn't gotten any further since 8/28. Please please please help. Even just getting to 200$ for now would at least give some time.
