as of recent, a term has been coined! associd, coined by both npder & wsys! (@associd)

its base definition goes as is: something that you associate yourself with and want other people to associate you with, but isnt necessarily something that you are.

now, you can definitely *be* the associd and still use the term associd! however, this is way more open to those who may be, for example, not alterhuman but identify *with* concepts rather than as concepts!

now, another term exists aswell - synpathy, etc - but i prefer associd due to the wider range of what you can identify with! plus i resonate with it a lot more ^_^

i find that this label will be EXTREMELY useful to fragments and alters/headmates/parts & alike - or to those with identity issues! or simply because you enjoy labels! if you like this label, follow the coiners! and follow me if you would like to get a TL full of different coins too...

@thecloudservice will also be coining a few associds aswell and they have some really cool posts!! ^^

of course: associd is free for anyone to use! so do not worry for you are WELCOME!!!

have you guys coined a term to separate associd terms that one has bodily to those they don't have bodily? take ur time! ^^

yes! thank you for the reminder!!

enassocid: when an associd applies to something you are. (similar to cisids). from en- meaning within.

ex: “i am enassoci-bpd because i have bpd and wish to be associated with my bpd (as part of my identity, etc.).”

mesassocid: when an associd applies to something between what you literally are and what you are not. (similar to trisids). from mes- meaning between.

ex: “i am mesassoci-animal because i see myself as this animal (mentally, etc.) but i connect/identify with my human form, too.”

ecassocid: when an associd applies to something you are not literally. (similar to transids). from ec- meaning outside of.

ex: “i am ecassoci-character because i am not this character in any way but i wish to be associated with them!”

no one needs to specify which category their associds fall under, however for anyone who does want to! this is an optional way to do that :)

🥅 sub-associations may be ice, skates, pucks, goalie gear, sweat, body checks, jerseys, etc.

people should make terms more inclusive to people with grandiose delusions, grandiose odd beliefs (odd beliefs in StPD), etc!! because everything we relate to as an StPDer are locked behind being NPD exclusive even though what is described can very well describe people who are grandiose due to their mental illness. :(
