MAN JUICE ORACLE MONDAY
In which I interpret my weekly t shot to give yall advice for the week
Sometimes, you have days where you just can't seem to get anything done. You wake up late, skip some important things under the guise of just doing them tomorrow, barely eat anything, and go to bed late. It happens to the best of us. On days like these, it's important to take small, even tiny steps, eat a handful of almonds, brush your teeth, take your meds with some extra water, and soon you will realize that you have already done a lot of things on a day where it felt like you couldn't do any. And tomorrow, you can do some more!

You know, we really should listen to Marie Kondo more. This week, get in the spirit of (late) spring cleaning, and take some time to Marie Kondo something, your t-shirt drawer, your spotify playlist, your pencil bag, pick something small, and clean out everything that does not spark joy. Take some small steps towards happiness, and you will feel a lot better.

This week it is important to be aware of the fine line between rest and rot. It is important to take the time you need to recover, but do not let yourself fall into stagnation. Take steps to ease yourself back into your work, lest the mountain keep rising. Take one small step, then another, and so on, and soon you will be back on top of it.

When the world is making you feel like crap, it is important to remember that you have power, however small, and exercising it can make your day even just a little bit better. Make the decision this week to open up those blackout curtains for the first time in way too long, wear that shirt you like, but haven’t had the courage to dig out in a while, mis-match your socks, try something new, or rediscover something old. Make the conscious decision to have a better day, and by sheer force of will, you will.

Persistence is key this week, and good things are coming! Keep your head up, motivate yourself by cutting big tasks into small ones, and reward yourself for a hard days work. You can do this, and soon, your work will pay off.

This week, I encourage you to be extra thankful for everything you have. The world is kinda fucked up right now, so be sure to do what humans do best and find joy in the little things. Hug your people, pet your pets, thank your Starbucks batista a little more seriously (perhaps with a big tip). Practice radical kindness, and it will be returned to you.

Oracles, fortune tellers, and seers of all sorts much older than I have all given the same prophecy: This too shall pass. Be it joys or hardships, laughter or sorrow, good times and bad. Take solace in the fact that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and a way out of the hole, no matter how deep.
