“Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”
Surah Al Baqarah Ayah 201
Astaghfirullah for all the times I've been ungrateful. The things we take for granted, someone else is praying for. Even at our lowest point, we have a lot more to be thankful for, than to be hopeless about. Alhamdulillah for everything.
Remain steadfast in saying Astaghfirullah, and you will witness doors of goodness being opened for you.
"The relationship with Allah is not merely about praying for an hour during the day or night, and then the servant do whatever he wants in this life, for that is a superficial religiosity. True religiosity is when the servant obeys his Lord wherever he is, restricts his path to His commands and prohibitions, recognizes his human weakness, and seek his Lord's help in everything that befall him."
- Mohammed Al-Ghazali (RA)
If you’re raised Catholic you’re culturally Christian specifically culturally Catholic. There has to be an influence present in your life in order to absorb a culture… an atheist raised Catholic… where is the Islamic influence? Especially if they don’t even believe in the religion lol, never believed in the religion?? (Converted then lost faith would have more an argument imo.) Because where is the cultural transfer happening? That’s like two steps from saying weeaboos are culturally Japanese lol. If you admire the culture just say that, words mean things. But omfg loooollllll where are you finding these people…
Hmm maybe having close Muslim friends for a long time? But why would you call yourself that still, it’s normal to pick things up from your friends. In that situation you explain it by saying you have Muslim friends, I feel that’s a sufficient explanation. “Culturally Muslim” is crazy.
100% and tbh i've never seen it used as a 'good-faith' identity. Its always to excuse their blatant islamophobia, justify exoticisation of arab and persian people or more recently shock value (sometimes all three)
Say Alhamdulillah when you sit with your family, Because there is someone somewhere who wishing to be with family.
Say Alhamdulillah when you go to work, Because many people are still looking for a job.
Say Alhamdulillah because you are healthy, The sick ones wish to buy health no matter how high the price is.
Say Alhamdulillah because you are still alive, The dead wish to come back to life to do good deeds.
Say Alhamdulillah because you worship Allah, Others make sujood even for cows.
Say Alhamdulillah because You are You, and others wish to be in your place.
O'Allah thank you for absolutely everything in my life! Alhamdulillah 😇
The sharks are actually islamophobic for making me witness this game during the start of Eid
