"Christ, I can't believe I'm actually asking you this, but are you going to get your ass up and ready before I have to bring in the big guns?"
"I'm up I'm up." he groans and sits up. "You are aware I work a hard ass job yeah?" he looks over at the older male. "And here I thought you'd be happy to see me actually not being a busy body for once."
"Bought you a little hush-hush breakfast. Don't need to tell nobody." Reaching up for the rolled edges of the paper bag, he plopped it down on Jimmy's lap and canted his head by an angle. " 'specially not to that blonde-fish that's always harping around you."
"Not to be a total party pooper kid..." he looks at Tony. "But I can't really eat solid food right now." he frowns. He leans back against the pillows and looks almost guilty for it. "Not only that... Good just hasn't sounded appetizing period." he leans over and kisses Tony's shoulder in apology.
"I'm not eating that."
"It's cereal, Tony. It's not like I burned it or anything."
He's sneaked in while Jimmy was presumably drawn under by the consistent drip of an intravenously fed dose of morphine, already quick to perch up by the man's side with the table pulled in close before their chests. Breakfast came in laden bags, the bottom of each slippery with grease. The doctors didn't have to know. It'll be their little secret, like all things. "... Hey, sunshine."
And he was, he was in a nice little sleep. Though when he feels movement on the bed he slowly wakes up. Upon seeing Tony's face, he smiles. "Hey gorgeous…" he rasps out.
[text] would you be my songbird if i told you i love you?
[text] I'd tell you you're fucking crazy for loving me.
"Dude I'm not waiting up for you. You're coming to bed now, or I'm locking the bedroom door behind me."
Oh my lord -eye roll.- Calm down. -He presses a kiss to his lips.

Tony,
As some one who drifts, words become a completely useless and mundane thing. When you drift with some one, you always feel like you got nothing to say… and well… I’ve been drifting since the day I was born, so never learned to be very good with words.
I guess I should say I’m sorry. I’m sorry for making a promise I could never hope to keep. I always made a point to keep my word in my short 18 years, but it looks like I finally broke a promise.
The time I had with you Tony, it was nothing short of amazing and beautiful and everything a ranger could ask for. You made the last year of my life nothing short of amazing and I wouldn’t take back a second of it. I just wish I had gotten more time, guess that’s what I get for being so stubborn at first huh?
You can go on without me Tony, you’re strong enough. You always were. So… I know I didn’t keep my promise of never leaving you, but I need you to keep one for me okay? Keep on living.
This isn’t good bye though, it’s see you later.
I love you.
- Yancy.
