“ What part of ‘do you mind? I’m brooding’ is it that you don’t understand? ” A tone annoyance adorned his voice. Most would usually leave him be when he expressed displeasure in such a manner, but nooo-- Toga -of course- would continue to prod at him until she got her curiosity sated. Still, he had no desire to talk about what weighted heavy on his mind; his most recent nightmare-- only a few hours fresh. It still hurt. Talking to others about his troubles never sat well with him. It made him anxious. “ I don’t wan’t to talk about it. ”

Himiko knows it’s not very nice to snoop into other people’s affairs. She knows, and still she ends up snooping regardless. But in her defense, how could she not? When one of her family is hurting, it’s natural to prod and prod until something gives. If she doesn’t persist, he won’t ever tell her what’s wrong, and then she won’t be able to help. She wants to help, so badly. It’s painful to be all alone, with no one there to fight for you and keep you safe when you’re hurting.

Leaning closer, she stares directly into Asterion’s eyes, watching for any sign that he is willing to accept her help. “Brooding isn’t very fun,” she starts. “You’re hurt, but I’m hurt, too. That means you can tell me. Even if you say you don’t want to, maybe it’s something you really do want to talk about. Maybe, you’ll feel better after you do.”

“How’d you know Dabi?” Tomura is somewhat flushed, raising a glass of alcohol to his lips. This clearly isn’t his first of the night. “You’ve known him a long time, right?” Likely for longer than Tomura himself did. Obviously, he wants to know more.
