One of my favorite things to do warmup sketches of is of Aster pretending to be different nations. So here’s a few highlights!

We have Japan, in Greece’s dreams. Like to think it was of those dreams where you think you wake up and get ready for the day only to actually wake up and have to actually do it. But instead of getting up and getting ready for the day, it’s waking up in your mom’s ruins with your pretty friend from across the sea who wants to talk philosophy and look at the stars.

Liechtenstein, as a dream of Switzerland’s just getting to have a calm life of herding sheep in the mountains, with plenty of picnics and tea time. A wholesome time that definitely doesn’t end with Switz realizing he’s dreaming and getting scared awake according to my discord server resident Liech expert @lunartexan

A nice rival Prussia for Hungary’s dreams. Someone to sword fight and ride horse back with, to fight and wrestle and maybe make out a little it really just depends on what she want’s he’s abrasive but accommodating. And she is glad that he’s mostly being accommodating other than being his general use of teasery,

And last but not least, an sophisticated America checking on his old man before the big summit. He is prepped right? He’d sure hope that England was prepared. What, is he prepared? Of course he is. He was ready ages ago, since when was he one to put things off. After all, England was the one who taught him about proper timing.

We have a Hungary who's sticking by your side no matter what! I wonder who's dreaming about the old days with his former wife...

A cute one of Romano in Germany's dreams-- They have a cute house in the woods with a big garden up in the mountains where they can swim and hike and play with their pets and cook and ride and just have fun and don't have to even utter the word "deadline".

And a Lithuania in Poland's dreams! i was inspired by the outfits from the kyuhu poisoning post so I drew lith-ster in that. They be having a fun time, drinking and having a hell of a party in the olden hay days when they werent trying to kill each other (...as much)

Personality: Aster is a calm gentleman who hides much behind his smile. A caring and charming creature who uses his cunning plots and schemes to achieve the goals he wishes, instead of using physical force. He spends much of his time taking care of those who are in his company, more so than worrying about himself. He’s a direct creature, preferring to be proactive and upfront about his goals and wants with those who need to know. He doesn’t want to allow problems to fester or beat about the bush, only lying or obfuscating the truth if he must. He’s a diligent worker who doesn’t like to lollygag around, stalling for time is simply a waste. Despite his love of eloquence and riddles, he loves everything to be structured and put into simple terms that anyone can understand when it counts so there is no miscommunication on what he needs from people. He trusts others to do as he asks and expects, and can be a bit lenient to those who seem to struggle. He wishes at his core to be taken seriously, and tries to hide his weaknesses because he knows how much people rely on him. 

At his core, despite his rigidity and order, he’s cunning, sarcastic, snarky and a bit impish. He wishes to simply grant others desires and assist them in their lives, giving them the slightest bit of solace in a situation that is unfriendly to them. Whether it be the arcana he works with or the humans he devours the dreams of, he wishes for their best and tries to give them what they desire to the best of his ability.

Aster: "Chariot what are you doing!? That is not how we deal with guests! Please put him down!"

Chariot: "But Boss!!"

Aster: "Absolutely not! You cannot be doing such things when we actually begin to receive guests. You want to keep your position this cycle, yes?"

Chariot: "I do..."

Aster: "So please, keep this in mind. I know you are very high energy, but you must keep our guests in mind."

"Oh, hello Reve! Haven't seen you in a while. How are you and your company?"

"Squirrels are nice, they remind me of you."

Priestess: "Timber tiger? That's a new word..."

Star: "I think it's a fun word! Timber tigers!!"

Fortune: "Who's this guy suppose to be?"

"This is Reve, hes well... a Fachureve. An old acquaintance of mine. Please be polite to him and his company."

World: "Pleasure to meet you, sir."

oooo could we please see you in women's heels if you're comfortable with that??

“Sure! Sometimes I can choose a more feminine form such as this, and so I’ll play with heels. I do in my more male form as well though.”

“But I try to not wear heels too often, while I enjoy them and they help keep my natural body foot structure... I’m already quite tall, and adding on extra centimeters with heels feels a bit excessive. Haha~”

“Especially when most humans and arcana bodies are made in the 140cm to 180cm range, and I’m naturally without heels in the 200cm range. Adding heels just makes me even more likely to hit door frames and intimidate people by towering over them.”

“But I love the sound heels make when I walk, it’s a very distinct and satisfying sound. And as I mentioned, it helps me maintain my natural leg muscles even in a human form.”

“It’s a give and take, as most things are.”
