A seguir estudiando. #comics #alextoth #pacoroca #davidmazzucchelli #asteriospolyp #elinviernodeldibujante #bravoforadventure https://www.instagram.com/p/BrxG5AfhePZ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=29a1714fcscd

My read of the week, two weeks ago, was this absolutely amazing 2009 graphic novel entitled Asterios Polyp. It is a dual story in every way but mostly because it follows two different times of Asterios Polyp's life. It follows his past covering his twin that died in the womb and his divorce; and it covers his present where he has run away to a small town he's never heard of before to live a different type of lifestyle. This book is abstract Eisner, it follows one man, living his life and the work resembles pencil most time but with exquisite shading. Though David Mazzucchelli strays from realism most time, using symbolism both in his story and his art. This graphic novel skyrocketed to near the top of my list: I highly recommend :)
