By the way, if anyone was wondering, here’s the Asthana + Chara drawing I did for GWLG’s thumbnail by itself

If any of those aforementioned wondering people were also additionally wondering: yes, Asthana was going to be revealed as Chara somewhere inside the version of the Waterfall arc where they were going to betray Asriel.

The planned “reveal” scene and proceeding battle was one of my favorite things I was looking forward to in the old iteration of the story, and it’s a shame it has to be cut, but I think even better reveals and plot developments have taken its place.

Behold; two Versotale tracks made by GuyWhoLikesGames a while ago! As these were both made before the massive rewrite, they unfortunately no longer work in the context of the new story, but we decided it was worth releasing them anyway.

First one was "Florals and Ethics," Asthana's updated theme. It's bittersweet in a way since this is the final time you'll be seeing that flower ever again, so I drew up a thumbnail that's a bit more spoiler-y. (Yes, in case you were wondering; the true identity of Asthana in the old iterations was Chara.)

Second one was Undyne's version of "Memory," from a time where she was dead and still a disembodied voice in Asriel's head. A bit less to say about this one from my side. I like the track, and the funny fish thumbnail that I drew

WIP of a Versotale drawing I’m working on! I’m planning on making it the header for this Tumblr blog if it fits.

This is very incomplete, as so far it’s only three of the main characters but this is the start of it, and hopefully a really good one at that!
