Summer is now on, and this is the best season to enjoy outdoor activities. For the people with asthma however, this has its own set of complications that is brought by this season. Here are some quick tips to manage your asthma:
Check Air Quality: Another essential action to undertake before going out is to check on the air quality. Do not venture out in the event that the weather forecast predicts a high level of pollution or a high pollen count.
Stay Cool: This is especially true when the air is drying up or its temperature is boiling hot, then breathing becomes a real struggle. If you can, make sure to keep your indoor temperature low and drink lots of water.
Be Prepared: Make sure to always wear your rescue inhaler, especially when going out for events such as jogging.
Protect Yourself from Allergens: An effective way of avoiding pollens involve wearing a mask while engaging in tasks such as doing yard work or gardening.
