So... I heard there was an Undertale AU called UnderInferno. A fan CHARActer by the name of Gara M. got his own In! (A form of Inferno that’s much more efficient than typing the word itself) design, so why don’t these CHARActers as well? ...
I don’t know what I’ve DEDAN to Astraine and Rei (who are both created by Bloodeh/Bloody-Uragirl {Remake their designs if you like}), but I feel a little satisfied with Taxiderby’s Red and her... em... In! exclusive ‘friend’ Veilrade, which is why I put more effort into their pic than I would the rest (I know that the body and leg proportions are a little OFF but, otherwise, it looks great). In order to separate the colors that are considered headcannon in the Undertale and UnderInferno universe, I added some text above the one I considered to be the colors for the original Red. I don’t feel like the design overall needs to be changed, just redrawn. If you want to know what that cleaver is (maybe I might not say anything about it at all) and who Semblage and Facuard are, I’ll explain when I talk about Red, Veilrade and the Lacooveks.
I dunno what sins Astraine and Rei absorb (that’s for Bloodeh to decide on her own), but for Red, I think... Are three sins allowed for a demon in this AU? If so, Red should definitely be Anger (or Wrath depending on how you see her)/Lust/Gluttony. Why? Well, you did give her a SKELEton of food in the true pacifist ending right? And she does have a lust for making friends with humans and, despite wanting this, has to reject it out of anger because she knows that the human will get killed, and needs the souls to escape the underground to end the lust for experiencing the outside world? I’m still deciding how she acts in this AU.
Anyways, onto who the heck Veilrade is. He’s a Lacoovek like Semblage and Facuard, demons imprisoned in masks that are cursed to turn into raw sinful energy once their mask breaks. They can possess both humans and demons once worn and given consent to do so. Once given consent, said possession of the body occurs and they can manipulate the possessed body to a body structure they’re used to. The only things they can’t do to the possessed body are reshaping the body in an impossible manner and to change the structure of the face they’re attached to. These beings can still absorb their respective sinful energy though (Veilrade = Anger/Deception, Semblage = Pride/Ignorance, Facuard = Destruction/Insanity) whether harvested from another demon or freshly absorbed from a human, and can give it to the possessed demon if the sinful energy corresponds to their sinful nature.
How did they get into these masks? Well, there were a group of humans (back in the time when both demons and humans were fighting in a war {At least I think Albatross is keeping the war story as a thing in this AU}) who had an idea on how to defeat the demons, and they thought that using them against each other was a great idea. So they trapped a few of these demons, including Veilrade, Semblage and Facuard when they had a developed demonic form, during the point that it looks very promising. Things weren’t going as planned however, and chaos ensued upon the humans that wore the masks. Humans, possessed by these masks, were either converted into imps after committing a certain amount of sin, or were left to rot in an isolated area far from the grasp of any human society. The humans thought that some of the spells that were given to the mask would transfer to the wearer and work in their favor, so they gave the masks the power to levitate and spawn tentacles. Why? Cause many of them weren’t as smart as they think they were. Luckily for the humans, they made a counter-fail plan. Before the humans wore any of the masks, they performed a spell that turns demons into sinful energy once the masks were broken in case anything bad were to happen, so they broke every mask they could find that contained a demon. Out of the 200 that were made, only Veilrade, Semblage, and Facuard are the only known remaining Lacoovers from the destruction of the demonic masks. Seeing as this tormented their own kind, the demons surrendered and were sealed in Hell for what looks like an eternity.
I’m still planning out how Red and Veilrade will act in this AU, since they play a very crucial part in the Rejection route, the Give In routes, and the Exorcism routes. Yes, I said routes. 5 Endings, all which come one at a time as the wings on the human’s back grow. On the fourth genocide route, the cleaver comes to play, but I won’t spoil the fact on whom it really belongs to and what it does. Don’t know if Albatross has already developed the full concept of the story or is intrigued with the Pacifist/Give In/Exorcist ideas, along with Red and Veilrade’s importance to the story. Heck, he might even see flaws that I haven’t paid attention to as I write this story. Well, that’s ENOCH of what I want to say for this AU for now.
BTW, kudos for those who get the reference in Veilrade’s pic.
